Did I understand right? So Sabrina's 955,478 streams yesterday in the UK are because all those British people saw her at Taylor's tour in South America?

TikTok is a HUGE promo, it’s how the majority of songs go viral and hit the top of Spotify now, the eras tour has been huge on TikTok, people don’t have to be physically there in the country to see clips of the eras tour?? That’s quite dumb logic. I’ve not been and seen loads of videos.

People aren’t saying it’s the only reason it’s big, but it was great promo for her and made her known to millions who didn’t know her, allowing the song to start high and in the top 10 on its first day.

I thought Espresso itself was viral on TikTok not Sabrina's association with Taylor's tour?

And yes there are people in this thread with the mind boggling opinion that Sabrina's song is only big because of Taylor

Lover was an initial flop compared to her previous successes id agree, but her resurgence started in 2020 with folklore, it had longetivity remaining in the charts (no huge first week sales but it kept her around)

That post was about Charli.

I think "Espresso" is a combination of things.

Sabrina continuing to build up herself/fanbase. Before "Espresso" she was starting to have a number of hits such as "Skin", "Nonesense" & "Feather". Of course her being on Taylor's tour would've helped her a lot with that.

"Espresso" itself is an extremely catchy/great song.

I also think people are understimating her Coachella performance of the song. I believe that's a key factor in why it ended up spreading so quickly. She gave a great performance of it and that likely triggered a number of viral tiktoks and such.

Happy to see Sabrina getting such a massive hit!

Not seen Sabrina on Taylor’s tour, not seen any clips of it on TikTok or elsewhere and I’m hammering her song - absolute sound of the summer for me, I think it’ll be around for ages.

Same; I had no interest in Sabrina at all until I decided to listen on Spotify on a whim… and it’s a bop and have been hammering it ever since

Taylor is probably a part of Sabrina’s success but to attribute it all to her is ridiculous.
I didn't even know Sabrina had been supporting Taylor on tour. (I don't use TikTok and I'm not a Swiftie). But I've been a fan of Sabrina ever since her feature on the Alan Walker single On My Way in 2019. Her voice sounds so angelic, jut a shame that Farruko guy almost destroys the song. I was happy to see her hit the top 20 with Feather and would love to see her at no 1 with the summer smash Espresso.
Does this mean Post Malone's next era is going to be massive because of his current association with Taylor?

The guy was already big before his collab with Taylor.

Some people get so antsy whenever Taylor releases music omg

Just let the girl do her thing like everybody else

Wasn't expecting Jess Glynne to climb up to 4. Laufey also climbing up too. Hope The Zutons can cling on into the Top 5.

6K for Jess Glynne! I'm actually impressed, of course it's sh*it if you compare it to album 1 &2 but if consider she was kinda cancelled after the Suchi incident :D

also great for PSB to be over 20K already

Flop shop boys missing #1 like their last lot of albums.

Ready for Taylor to hopefully ship off 12k CDs to get #1, although is there really demand straight after the album?

Espresso has it in the bag now. :D

There is always demand for Taylor singles no matter when

I'm really surprised that Jess has retained a sizeable enough audience interested in buying her physicals/downloads. I mean, I assume the streaming sales contribution to this album is low. I thought she'd be very reliant on requiring hit singles to generate decent album sales. Fair play...
