April 29, 20241 yr It must be a Valerie special this week with the Amy Winehouse version on course to re-enter the singles and the group which sang the original are in the album chart and fair play to Jess being top 5 in the albums
April 29, 20241 yr Love Story?!  NO ONE KNOWS THAT ONE If you asked me to name her songs I know a lot if they came on but purely by name literally love story, bad blood, shake it off, look what you made me do would be all I could think of
April 29, 20241 yr Yes Sabrina! Also shocked to see Perrie climb though I’m sure that’s from physicals? Hopefully a third week top 40 for her. Also Valerie re-entering
April 29, 20241 yr Certifications in the US aren't automatic like they are here. Midnights has sold over 7 million units in the US so is eligible for 7x platinum: @1774626789748310319 Oh wow I stand corrected. Folklore is still 2x Platinum and Evermore is only Platinum. Would’ve thought Taylor would want her certifications to be totally up to date!
April 29, 20241 yr Love Story?!  NO ONE KNOWS THAT ONE I hate that song with a passion, but that simply is not true. Everyone sings along if I hear it played out in a bar for example.
April 29, 20241 yr The very overrated cover of The Zutons 'Valerie' re-entering the Top 40 is not needed.
April 29, 20241 yr I only know a handful of Taylor songs and Love story is one of them. - Love story - Tim McGraw - Shake it off - We are never ever getting back together - Lover - All too well - I knew you were trouble - Bad blood - You need to calm down I think that's it. I'd say Love story is definitely one of her most remembered hits.
April 29, 20241 yr New peaks/entries in the #41-100 region: 49. Becky Hill - Outside of Love (+10 from Friday) 63. Kygo (feat. Zak Abel & Nile Rodgers) - For Life (NEW) 70. James Arthur - From The Jump (NEW) 71. Aitch - Famous Girl (NEW) 72. Myles Smith - Solo (+4) 73. Tems - Love Me JeJe (NEW) 81. Yeat - If We Being Real (+8) 89. Teddy Swims - The Door (+2) 90. Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark - Kleptocracy (NEW) 95. Zerb & The Chainsmokers (feat. Ink) - Addicted (+5) 99. Twenty One Pilots - Backslide (NEW) Amazon helping James Arthur out there, and I presume OMD have some physicals out.
April 29, 20241 yr £1.99 CD Singles for Fortnight have just been released, shipping ‘on or before May 3rd’
April 29, 20241 yr £1.99 CD Singles for Fortnight have just been released, shipping ‘on or before May 3rd’ Ridiculous
April 29, 20241 yr £1.99 CD Singles for Fortnight have just been released, shipping ‘on or before May 3rd’ I was tempted, but not with £4.95 shipping! That's nothing for the hardcore fans though, of course.
April 29, 20241 yr Oh wow I stand corrected. Folklore is still 2x Platinum and Evermore is only Platinum. Would’ve thought Taylor would want her certifications to be totally up to date! I was gonna say that couldn’t be correct as she spent 6 weeks (or more) at #1 and didn’t leave the top 10 for 65 consecutive weeks. Her albums are typically more front loaded in the U.K. but in the US she remains at the top. I feel like she’s waiting for the end of the eras tour to update all her certifications as her whole catalogue has had a huge increase whilst the show has been on. April 29, 20241 yr It would be interesting to go and ask random people to name a Taylor Swift song, what would they answer. Most would say ‘Shake it Off’ I’d imagine!
April 29, 20241 yr I'd rather the Mark/Amy version of 'Valerie' over the Zutons one any day :P Glad Artemas has booted Teddy back out of the top 5 today and hope Perrie can remain in the Top 40 for another week!
April 29, 20241 yr Imagine if OMD could score another top 100 hit after this long - when was their last 1996?
April 29, 20241 yr I hate that song with a passion, but that simply is not true. Everyone sings along if I hear it played out in a bar for example. Thank Christ I stopped drinking then if they play that in the bars these days 🤣
April 29, 20241 yr Oh wow I stand corrected. Folklore is still 2x Platinum and Evermore is only Platinum. Would’ve thought Taylor would want her certifications to be totally up to date! Her US certifications for a lot of her albums/songs are 2+ years out of date. I'm hoping they'll update her US certifications for her entire discography once she's finished her tour and released the final Taylor Version albums. I'm pretty sure she has ~100 million+ worth of certifications that have yet to be granted in the US across all her albums/songs. She'll likely become the most certified person in the US and world once her US certification are up to date *_*
