Congrats Addy :cheer: Looking forward to my first ever trip to Bøtanikkä!

I'll admit that I am very frustrated that Jadakissnia were only two points off of winning :nocheer: Still, a very impressive return to the final! Excellent that Singerpurear, Persephonia & Danæviia all made the top 10  Trifoski finishing at 11th is also a lot higher than I thought they would place, delighted for Seven  Overall, it's been a fantastic contest due to the quality of the entries!

And finally, what a night for Abeltesfayeton :cheeseblock: Our first ever top five entry and our 2nd highest points total ever  Once again, I really appreciate all of the nations that voted for Abeltesfayeton!

And of course, thank you for hosting Phil!

Did Kathaldazia get more votes than Elëdan? My old lady eyes struggles with spreadsheet

Yes, 24 to 23

Ooh I won the semi  I spy a couple of final non-voters who pointed me in the semi aw, then a few semi -> final dropouts, but also going from 1 to 13 for Aelandor oh my *.*

Fair enough - well done Addy (another person departing the 2 wins club before me, would have been the same if Jade won tbf x) - two pop winners in a row then and both songs I ranked similarly, this one was a little higher, 28th compared to RONDÉ being 30th for me.

Ending up relatively safe in the top 10 after all, hooray - nice to already have one this year after not managing one in 2023! And only my second 8th placer after Godford, 4th and 9th to go for me to have multiples of each top 10 position :magic:

@Phil all tiebreaks are correct but Harmonica are missing 1 point (should be 11 from Taahino instead of 10 in the spreadsheet), doesn't change their position ofc. I had one other difference from your scoreboard but that turned out to be my error :jump:

(will try and remember to comment on other stuff in the scoreboard later / tomorrow x)

edit: I've just edited Harmonica's score in Phil's last scoreboard post so that is all correct now.

Well done everyone, some great results near the top. I genuinely thought Cumulonimbia were in contention for the win though?!

Second in the semi and top 15! Very happy with that. It’s been a rough few months for poor Neliönoir so this is a fantastic result x

coming last with but still getting an 18? i think that’s quite iconic tbh
which reminds me to say thank you to RdA, Hendinia, and especially Greenfroze :cheer:
OH! and CONGRATS to my 18 Addy! you deserved it

Wow that was a close finish, congrats Addy! :cheer: A bit sad to see Jade miss out on a win by such a small margin, hopefully an AQ will result though.

After discovering Otha from her new song, I was super excited to then find her 2018 song 'One Of The Girls' which I thought had a lot of potential here... so to later find out that this song had already won Unknown Pleasures (for blacksquare, and by quite a huge margin too) was quite a bittersweet blow. I did grow to like 'I'm On Top' almost as much, but I expected it would get only a fraction of the support from the bloc who also voted in that UP contest. One of these days I'll catch a break in one of these contests... but of course I'm happy to keep my Q streak going for now, and after being 18th in the semi and 39th at one point tonight, I'll take a unique top 30 position. Thank you again to the 22 who voted, including every score at least once except a 10!

Thanks Phil for hosting ^_^

Ah so we slipped a little to 19th but tbh that is still FAR better than I was expecting so it feels like a real win! Although even more agog to have finished 4th in semi 2 when I assumed we'd just scraped through.

Congratulations Addy! I don't think I ended up voting for the winning song this time around but it was good enough to be kept until my final listen - same with the song in second from Jadakissnia too.

Congrats to Addy, only fitting that a classic BJSC artist wins in an Ashton contest! Song wasn't really for me (and that's three winners in a row now oops x), but I get its appeal. I feel bad not giving Jadakissnia 18 now, but Summericia was one of the best trance songs I've heard in a while so it just edged it out, two amazing discoveries though that I will keep and really glad that atmospheric post-rock seems to have such a wider audience now.

Singerpurear and Persephonia were the only others in the top 10 I voted for, but Abeltesfayeton and Danaeviia were close. A shame Quintessa didn't vote as that was a great song and could soundtrack a folk horror x

After jumping around a bit, I'll take 21st as a nice middle ground, thank you for all the votes, hopefully it's added to Spotify soon and if you like this, I do encourage you to check out his other work on YouTube, as there are some very creative visuals and a variety of styles there.

10 and 7 from Zanmatony and Kylienips in the semi to 0 in the final from both though? Pfft -_-

Thank you for te speedy hosting, Phil!

Haha that is what I thought too. I’m thrilled of course my 18 won but to be able to make a two time winner out of the most iconic of the old school winners in Rd’Á was a pure joy/honour. WYRMT is still to me the ultimate BJSC track and the thing I associate most with the contest

Omg you guys…thank you so much!!!

I’m having dinner and I promise I will post again later. Thank you again so much, and winning a Phil hosted contest is already iconique!!!

oh my what is up with the trains today, Joseph was also posting about having major train delays this evening. good ol' British public transport eh.

pleased your entry managed to avoid flopping although I had hoped it'd have been more of a contender that was probably just bias as I thought it was a big standout.

ty Áskorza for the smooth hosting this evening and I'm excited for hopefully another Bøtanikkä hosted contest shortly

Poor Joseph, just seen that, nightmare! Tube lines in London being messed up or not running at all didn’t help matters much either, whoops!

Yeah I don’t think I ever really believed it would do much at all but I very much appreciated the hype and nearly 50 of your fine points in these last three months! You and Jacob in particular saved us from another close shave DNQ…so far this year we’ve scraped through three semis by tiny margins and won one!

10 and 7 from Zanmatony and Kylienips in the semi to 0 in the final from both though? Pfft -_-

I noted that when posting my results in my national thread... it seems your song's absence from Spotify may be to blame as I meant to come back to it after but I forgot, and unlike on other occasions I did not compare my semi votes with my final votes before I sent them oops. Terra Avium did have a nice entry and should have at least got a few points from us if we had remembered to go back and listen again after!

Congratulations to Bøtanikkä! :cheer:

Please may I reserve an iconic window seat with extra leg room on the next flight with Bøtanikkä Airways! Please don't give us another ticket like this though!!! :nono:

I got 41% of my total score within just the first 4 votes. That is absolutely outstanding stuff. And just typical that 2 of the countries that gave us their +12 in the semi didn't vote in the final

Huge congrats Addy on another win and indeed another one I didn't vote for :kink: it must be a good sign on the rare occasions I don't point you :P

Wow, was working earlier so could only keep a brief eye on the results coming in but delighted to have finished 3rd, a personal best for Freedonia by a considerable distance. I was quietly optimistic after being considered a safe bet to qualify but wasn't expecting to do that well, glad y'all shared the love for an bop.

Massive thanks to all who voted and especially Singerpurear, Danæviia and Cor Lupus for the 18s and Ben's Sanctuary for the 15. :cheer:

Congratulations to Addy on the win and Jade on 2nd place! :cheer:
