Charra Tea lowkey nibbled I fear, it was a strong pack so not sure I’d put her in the top but her runway was great. My problem with her is there is no identity or anything, I still have no idea who she is. She feels like she’s AI generated and each week they differ the prompt slightly :lol: I actually agreed with the judging except Marmalade, Chanel should have been in the bottom over her I think they just wanted to highlight Marmalade’s runway tbh. Kiki could have won but Rileasa’s runway definitely gave her the edge and her verse was more unique.

 

I am absolutely obsessed with Lill so I’m glad she stayed. She gave about 2% during the challenge but I still lived for it, she is such a unique presence. Very much reserved but she is so magnetic and captivating and I hang off every word she says and everything she says even if she bombs a challenge. Her, Kyran and Rileasa are my favourites for sure but I also love Marmalade. La Voix I love as a person but her drag is not my favourite, the campy old school thing is very much overdone on DRUK and just not my thing as such. I’m rooting for Kyran to win as she is so unique for UK Drag Race, but she still really feels like she represents and embodies all the best parts of UK drag and what makes the scenes special.

 

For me this is actually better than UK2 which I find is a bit overhyped by fans.

I do think that S2 and this series are the strongest in terms of cast and dynamics, I think what’s pushing 2 over this one for me is the lipsyncs. Four lipsyncs on S2, we had Bimini slay, Tayce give one of the most memorable ballad performances, Tia surprisingly beat Asttina amd Ginny’s walk off before the lyrics. And so far on this seasons, we’ve Kyran pissing about a bit, a mediocre threeway, Kiki putting in a decent performance, and now this one which was giving trepidation from bothm really.

 

I do like how Lill dances though, it’s unusual in lipsyncs for the queens to try and move all their body and do staccato moves and splits.

Also it does seem weird that all three Northern Irish queens have read extremely similar in the personality department so far. Having lived there for a year, I never met anybody who was as over the top upbeat and optimistic as Blu, Jonbers and Charra seem to come across on telelvision.

Right?? I've never come across someone like Charra and certainly not an NI gay. She's very sanitized too, squeaky clean - at least Blu had a bit of an edge to her!

Really enjoyed the epsiode. The only thing I would change is putting Chanel in the bottom over Marmalade.

 

Thought other than that the judging was pretty fair. I thought Zahirah would do a lot better both in the challenge and lip sync which is a shame :( Glad Lill stayed though!

Another great episode and the cast continues to be fantastic. The stress of worrying about losing Lill this week though

 

I was so worried for Lill but she held her own!

Was starting to worry we were going to lose Lill early there, but thank god for that!! But such a shame to lose Zahirah :( her confessionals were everything even if her challenges/runways haven't always been the best.

 

Actavia I thought fumbled in the challenge with the lift, and just seemed so wild that it jarred with what everyone else was doing :lol: she's still great though!

Not my favourite challenge this week, again though it felt another strong episode, really 10/10 series for me so far.

I continue to be obsessed with Lill and Kyran, but whilst her drag isn’t my fave La Voix is an absolute sweetheart, such motherly vibes. Like you get the sense a couple of drinks with her would change the course of your life :lol: Loved that chat between her and Kyran, Kyran is an incredibly strong person to turn what happened to her into having such confidence and a sense of self that manifests in her being this totally unique and weird presence in her drag career. Marmalade always surprises me too, she can kind of do a bit if everything, even if for me she hasn’t had a standout big moment yet, she has always pulled it off whenever I feel like it isn’t her challenge.

Dare I say my favourite season of UK drag race so far?

Kiki was obviously the worst in the challenge; Kyran, La Voix, Lill and Marmalade just had their own thing going on - chipping in etc and she was just there. I don't know if the challenge entirely worked. La Voix made the first couch work and everyone seemed comfortable chipping in, the second couch wasn't great and felt like 4 individuals having been plonked there getting ready for their turn.

 

It was a strong episode though, I was surprised Kyran didn't finish 'top', but then I probably would've felt the same had either of the top 3 not been there either; Lill and Marmalade were strong in the challenge and had strong runways. They're such a strong top 4 (La Voix, Kyran, Lill and Marmalade). The chat between La Voix and Kyran was heartbreaking at everything that had happened to Kyran, but heartwarming to see La Voix in that motherly role. There seems to be such a love/ respect between the two - which comes through in the confessionals.

 

I really like Actavia, so glad she stayed - she slayed the lip sync too. Kiki I don't think could've gone much further - she's a performer as shown in the girl groups task, but otherwise her looks were never that great and she seemed to stall in any comedy challenges.

This cast is so wonderful — my favourites change every week. What a great episode from top to bottom. It also feels strange watching Drag Race and completely agreeing with the judging.

No I agree, this and 5 have both been amazing, I found 2 a bit overhyped by fans in the pantheon of general Drag Rcae it’s not up there with my fave seasons ever but this I feel is going to end up there. Every challenge has been strong, there hasn’t really been filler queens on the cast, the ones that are maybe weaker like Dita, Zahirah, Charra have all had moments or you can see why they’re there. There’s enough going on, some drama but it’s not ott and miserable, they’re all getting on but it’s not boring, I’m loving the dynamics between La Voix and Kyran for example.

Gutted for Kiki, really loved her despite her pretty poor performance in the challenges :kink:

 

Charra is a fave too :heart: her runway was incredible this week!!

This series is SO strong, I am really enjoying them all!

 

Not a fan of Chanel but all the others I genuinely really love, struggling to choose a favourite this year. :heart:

Nadine Coyle is my dream Snatch Game and we got…. That?! I appreciate that she was kind of clever in what Ru wanted, maybe it’s more a critique of what Snatch Game has become. Like what do you mean “do you know any Irish stars” �� that seems unpopular looking at the reaction online, it was funny enough but eh. La Voix and Kyran both gave exactly what I miss and what a great Snatch Game could do but I think it’s an increasingly niche skill for this generation of drag and there’s not many queens who can do that.

 

Also I thought Lill was so f***ing hilarious as well, I’d have had her in the top and I absoltuely adored her runway.

Really strong episode! Although I slightly disagree with the judging. I thought Kyran did well but I preferred Lill and Marmlade to be honest. Would've preferred them in the top over Kyran - especially as their runways were stunning, with La Voix winning - the leg joke really got me in stitches :lol:

 

Also I low key thougth Chanel won the lip sync? It's a shame they both were in fairly restrictive outfits as I could tell both would've given a much better lip sync if in different outfits! Although I'm not sad to see Chanel go - I think it was her time.

On the whole I enjoyed Snatch Game... Lill was great and her runaway look was insane, awful and brilliant at the same time. I think she was kind of robbed of a top placement. Kyran and La Voix were good - at this stage I can't see past a double crowning - it feels like they've been neck and neck and getting closer throughout each week.

 

I found Charra in Snatch Game extremely contrived and not that funny. I don't really know what Ru was laughing at half the time. But then i'd say the say at his other contrived Snatch Games suggestions.

 

The bottom 2 was 100% correct though. Actavia, although low had some funny moments and was only really there as they needed a 3rd person.

 

In the lipsync I found lacking. Was definitely expecting more from Rileasa who seemed to just be squatting and skulking for most of the song. Going from the edit, I'd have say Chanel won too. However overall Rileasa probably has more to give in the competition as a whole.
