Justice for "snow" by the chili peppers
Do not understand the popularity of that KSI track.
Do not understand the popularity of that KSI track.

It's popular because people hate KSI and are trolling him by calling the song bad and made loads of memes about it. Unfortunately it has inadvertently made the song extremely popular

Who unironically requests this

Would love apt. to get to No1.

I don't usually listen to the First Look. Do this pair always talk this much unconnected rubbish?

Teddy Swims’ The Door is predicted to climb three to Number 5, while Bad Dreams is set to become his third Top 10 single, up eight to Number 7.

Move by Adam Port, Stryv and KeineMusik could rise to Number 9, a brand new peak for the energetic dance track.

I’ll fill in the post with arrows etc after dinner unless another mod gets to it first !
Re: Chappell, would her parting ways with her management affect on releasing new stuff at the moment? Just a guess...

I'm sure it could, but it's been months since that process started, so she would've at least known well before SNL that she couldn't release it. Plus, it'd be a weird choice to release what is essentially your lead single in now mid November when we know Christmas is coming, if you're an artist who has any hopes that a song will have longevity

it if were to be released now, it would have been released this past Friday, sure they'll wait til the new Year

Come on "WILDFLOWER"! *_* I think it should be close to going top 10 this week.

Nice to see "Disease" top 20 in the first look still - should bode well for it remaining top 30/40.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your first post!

I think it would be very difficult these days for a non-Christmas, non-charity song to be Christmas number one, it would have to do amazing numbers against the Christmas onslaught. What was the last organic Christmas number one, was it Rockabye or am I forgetting something after that? I wouldn't bet against 'The Giver' being the first #1 of 2025 though (if released by then).

Thanks for your warm welcome!

Oh well just wishful thinking on my part. I just thought that Chappell is on a roll at the moment and with a new (great) song, momentum and perhaps some physical sales to boost it, it might have a chance. How much did Wham sell to be Christmas number one last year? How does it compare with say, peak Sabrina sales in the summer ( I think Chappell is on that kind of level of popularity right now)?

I just think it’s a shame no big artists seem to go for it at Christmas any more. It used to be the most exciting chart of the year (I’ve been an unashamed chart obsessive since the 1970s) and now it’s just accepted that from mid November we have to wait til January for it to get interesting again. I think it will change though eventually, it always has though chart history. It just takes big artists/ record companies to be brave and not play safe. As was mentioned before Ed pushed for his Christmas number one with Perfect, but that song had been around from the early part of the year and he added collaborations to give it a boost. I’m thinking more like East 17, Michael Jackson, Pet Shop Boys and Westlife….

Sorry to ramble, I just think it could be so much more exciting!
