‘Slow’ is my top Kylie song so I’m delighted that it’s no longer a non-certified #1 cheer

Amazing to see ‘House of the Rising Sun’ up to 2x platinum now too, an all-time favourite. Didn’t realise that it has over 1 billion streams on Spotify!

Slow, Oops (Oh My) and Just Can't Get Enough cheeseblock

Three Rihanna certs cheeseblock

Great for Kylies Slow to finally get there and also platinum for Pinks trustfall and Beautiful Souths a little time.

Wow it took very long for Is It Over Now to go platinum considering it was a #1.

Blame cruel summer getting the 1 mandatory artist reset 😔

Very pleased to see 'Slow' finally get passed the Silver mark. Strange it's taken so long, it's much more of a classic than its sales would suggest and doesn't deserve to be a part of this list of #1 songs that haven't yet been certified (2000+ only):

Manic Street Preachers - The Masses Against the Classes (2000)

Busted - You Said No (2003)

Daniel Bedingfield - Never Gonna Leave Your Side (2003)

Sam & Mark - With a Little Help From My Friends (2004)

Busted - Who's David? (2004)

Brian McFadden - Real to Me (2004)

Robbie Williams - Radio (2004)

McFly - I'll Be OK (2005)

Chico - It's Chico Time (2006)

McFly - Don't Stop Me Now / Please, Please (2006)

Girls Aloud vs. Sugababes - Walk This Way (2007)

McFly - Baby's Coming Back/Transylvania (2007)

Eva Cassidy & Katie Melua - What a Wonderful World (2007)

Vanessa Jenkins & Bryn West ft. Sir Tom Jones & Robin Gibb - Islands in the Stream (2009)

The X Factor Finalists 2011 ft. JLS & One Direction - Wishing on a Star (2011)

NHS Choir - A Bridge Over You (2013)

Ladbaby - We Built This City (2018)

Ladbaby - I Love Sausage Rolls (2019)

Michael Ball, Captain Tom Moore and The NHS Voices of Care Choir - You'll Never Walk Alone (2020)

Ladbaby - Don't Stop Me Eatin' (2020)

Ladbaby ft. Ed Sheeran & Elton John - Sausage Rolls for Everyone (2021)

Ladbaby - Food Aid (2022)

Out of only 23 songs 5 belong to ladbaby wonder how many years before even 1 of them gets a cert

Saying that mcfly have 3 but then I think that just shows how ridiculously low sales were in the early noughties

I think that combined with each of them spending about a month in the top 40.

That's an interesting list! From Eva Cassidy & Katie Melua - What a Wonderful World onwards, they're all charity singles. So the last "normal" #1 (without an attachment to charity) to be uncertified is McFly - Baby's Coming Back/Transylvania.

I found some sales totals, but they're mostly very out of date. I've probably missed some more recent updates for some of these:

185,000 - Ladbaby - Don't Stop Me Eatin' (2020) [Total: 21st November 2023]

181,000 - Ladbaby ft. Ed Sheeran & Elton John - Sausage Rolls for Everyone (2021) [Total: 21st November 2023]

167,200 - The X Factor Finalists 2011 ft. JLS & One Direction - Wishing on a Star (2011) [Year End]

166,536 - NHS Choir - A Bridge Over You (2013) [Total: 1st July 2016]

158,000 - Ladbaby - We Built This City (2018) [Total: 21st November 2023]

156,200 - Girls Aloud vs. Sugababes - Walk This Way (2007) [Total: 2nd August 2019]

156,000 - Vanessa Jenkins & Bryn West ft. Sir Tom Jones & Robin Gibb - Islands in the Stream (2009) [Year End]

152,000 - Ladbaby - I Love Sausage Rolls (2019) [Total: 21st November 2023]

142,000 - Manic Street Preachers - The Masses Against the Classes (2000) [Year End]

140,500 - Chico - It's Chico Time (2006) [Year End]

129,550 - Eva Cassidy & Katie Melua - What a Wonderful World (2007) [Year End]

113,000 - Daniel Bedingfield - Never Gonna Leave Your Side (2003) [Year End]

103,000 - Busted - You Said No (2003) [Year End]

102,307 - Michael Ball, Captain Tom Moore and The NHS Voices of Care Choir - You'll Never Walk Alone (2020) [Total: 24th April 2020]

100,000 - Robbie Williams - Radio (2004) [Total: 2016]

94,000 - Sam & Mark - With a Little Help From My Friends (2004) [Year End]

93,000 - Brian McFadden - Real to Me (2004) [Year End]

88,000 - McFly - I'll Be OK (2005) [Year End]

85,000 - McFly - Don't Stop Me Now / Please, Please (2006) [Year End]

78,000 - Ladbaby - Food Aid (2022) [Total: 21st November 2023]

73,000 - Busted - Who's David? (2004) [Year End]

50,750 - McFly - Baby's Coming Back/Transylvania (2007) [Year End]

'Wishing on a Star' and 'With a Little Help from My Friends' aren't currently available to download/stream. In fact the latter has seemingly never been available, so its total could be 100% physicals?

'Walk This Way' - 19th Oct 2018: 152,422, and 2nd Aug 2019: 156,200 - if it had kept selling at this pace it would now be on 183,936. Hopefully it's closer to 200k than that if Girls Aloud's reunion boosted it a bit.

Spotify total stream counts for the above singles - they're worldwide figures, but perhaps it can give us an indication of how well they might be doing in the UK:

20,611,489 - Eva Cassidy & Katie Melua - What a Wonderful World

10,649,445 - Brian McFadden - Real to Me

9,608,458 - Busted - You Said No

9,047,180 - Daniel Bedingfield - Never Gonna Leave Your Side

8,944,282 - Ladbaby ft. Ed Sheeran & Elton John - Sausage Rolls for Everyone

8,683,631 - McFly - Transylvania [Double A Side with Baby's Coming Back]

8,637,178 - Busted - Who's David?

8,188,676 - McFly - Don't Stop Me Now [Double A Side with Please, Please]

7,420,360 - McFly - I'll Be OK

5,859,771 - Robbie Williams - Radio

4,372,476 - Ladbaby - We Built This City

This list of No.1s probably could feature quite appropriately in the "Most Ordinary No.1" thread!! too!!

Wow! Almost all charity singles, novelties, reality TV spin offs, boy bands and ex boy band members!

The biggest surprises for me are Manic Street Preachers and Daniel Bedingfield - as well as the two Busted tracks - though I guess Busted had already sold hundreds of thousands of albums by the time those singles were released.

But yes - very strange that ‘Slow’ was in that very short list. A very underrated track.

Jesus Christ the sales for Real to Me and Radio are low. They must be streaming only few listens daily. Checked on Kworb: data for the former isn't available and Radio has 4k/daily.

Real to Me tends to do around 1,500 to 2,000 a day on Spotify!

that list of number 1’s is terrible !!!

has gezza ever done a countdown of the lowest selling number 1’s?
