Best

Sylvian Sakamoto - Bamboo Houses

Worst

Grandmaster Flash And The Furious Five - The Message

The Kids From 'Fame' Featuring Valerie Landsberg - Hi Fidelity

Haysi Fantayzee - John Wayne Is Big Leggy

Grandmaster Flash And The Furious Five - The Message

Rockers Revenge Featuring Donnie Calvin - Walking On Sunshine

Carly Simon - Why

ABC - All Of My Heart

The Firm always got on my nerves, so I dont expect I've warmed to it of late....

It is really hard to pick just 5 out of it:

The Stranglers - Strange Little Girl

The Cure - The Hanging Garden

Toto Coelo - I Eat Cannibals

Depeche Mode - Leave In Silence

Carly Simon - Why

Madness beaten by an inch.

Top 5:

Associates - 18 Carat Love Affair/Long Hangover

Talk Talk - Today

Depeche Mode - Leave In Silence

Sylvian Sakamoto - Bamboo Houses / Bamboo Music

Carly Simon - Why

Just outside:

ABC - All Of My Heart

The Cure - The Hanging Garden

Haysi Fantayzee - John Wayne Is Big Leggy

Toto Coelo - I Eat Cannibals

Grandmaster Flash And The Furious Five - The Message

Carly Simon - Why is ahead of its time - sounds 90s with the piano and Ace of Base style reggae-pop beat! Talk Talk - Today also sounds very good, Talk Talk were one of the best bands of 1982 with their fast synthpop. Associates and Talk Talk had great much missed frontmen :(

Also just outisde the top 5 are ABC, The Cure and Grandmaster Flash and Two fun and good quality novelty tracks!

We have just under 24 hours to split a four-way tie in this week's vote.

Tomorrow's session will feature a song which has been in the Top 40 this month!

Oop forgot to do this in a timely manner again, let's see if this helps break the tie x

The Cure - The Hanging Garden

David Sylvian and Ryuichi Sakamoto - Bamboo Houses

Duran Duran - Save A Prayer

Gary Numan - White Boys And Heroes

Survivor - Eye Of The Tiger

3 discoveries making my votes this week - instant fave from The Cure and one of the most interesting discoveries to date from Sylvian/Sakamoto, plus Gary Numan returning to my votes after his last few songs were a little less essential.

Next faves I already knew would be Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five and Queen, next best discoveries were Depeche Mode, Talk Talk and Blondie.

Save a Prayer

Private Investigstions

The Message

Why

Strange Little Girl

The Cure, David Sylvian and Talk Talk all close

I am going to a (classical) concert arranged by a friend in the Royal Festival Hall starting at 3pm, so guess I’ll miss quite a lot of today’s session unfortunately.

The 5 best:

Madness - Driving In My Car

Wavelength - Hurry Home

Sting - Spread A Little Happiness

Captain Sensible - Wot

Grandmaster Flash And The Furious Five - The Message

The worst:

The Belle Stars - The Clapping Song
