  • I love it a lot and the video is great, but the second half is where the magic happens. It's amazing how she pours so much emotion into just a few words and a great lyric.

An actual music video?! Is she OK?

  • Genius Annotation: Here, Chappell subtly switches the lyrics of the prior line from “She’s got a way” to “She got away.” While it’s a fairly simple and minor change, the meanings are significantly di

Kinda ironic but the she's got away she got away lyric won't go away and is living rent free in my head 🤣

I am now completely sold on this song.

Deserves to smash not only on week one or so, but until ACR takes it (as long as that isn't Pink Pony Club levels of time 😀)

Only listened to half of it the other day but on the full listen the next time round it sounds utterly gorgeous. Definitely picking up the Alanis comparisons with this one and that's a very good thing.

Fab for Chappell bagging another #1 with it <3

As much as I think her material is absolutely flawless, I just don't think she's up to enough (publically) to warrant a forum's worth of discussion... And I don't suspect album 2 will be any time soon, she seems to spend alot of time perfecting her songs!

(I'd happily be proven wrong though!)

Mine too, easily my favourite No.1 since Calvin Harris' and Ellie Goulding's Miracle. Certainly the first No.1 single I've played more than five times in one week since then.

Love that Chappell has now had two consecutive top two debuts to follow up one of the all-time slowest climbs to No.1.

Agreed look at the charli forum (dead) and that was only on a viral album

Maybe a clean bandit forum?

Was hoping from other people's reactions that this would add to the short list of Chappell songs that I like and happy to say it has, instantly my 2nd favourite song from her after 'Good Luck, Babe!', I've not been a fan of most of what I've heard from her but when she's good she's really good. Definitely has a timeless sound to it, on top of all the comparisons already made in here I'll also throw in that it gives me similar vibes to Billie Eilish's 'BIRDS OF A FEATHER', would not mind if it stuck around as well as that did in the chart x
