I could see Pestolia potentially being a “shock” top 10 personally, but we shall see! I do think Semi 2 is quite hard to predict. With the countries that are in the semi, I don’t even think Scotland 2 can be ruled out.

There really is a part of me that thinks Scotland 2 might sneak through with like five sets of high points though. And if FARC haven't voted, I'm on the fence about them, but I think when 20/26 are making it, the 33% doesn't wind up being quite as damning. Like, 33% of 50 still leaves you with 34pts which can be enough to qualify so...

I would think both FARC and New Lexico will do well enough to survive a deduction.

I'm not sure if my thought process makes sense to all y'all, but I was thinking a little bit that in the next few contests I enter (I can't say how many there will be, I'll see lol), I might try to focus on entering songs that better represent the various sides of my taste. Not that my old entries didn't do that necessarily, but they were usually just things I was enthralled by at the time and would listen to on repeat on walks or whatever. This time around I might try to go for more of the sorts of things I most like to listen to on my own at home. This current entry definitely is like that!

So, at home I listen to a lot of 'introverted music', for lack of a better descriptor. Not really 'flashy', more just like artistic expressions, soft, relaxing, etc. But I'll see!

Can definitely Deandria making it, I did hover over them and Jupiterdonia several times. This is why I don’t often predict, someone challenges one thing and I immediately fold and think I’m wrong 😂

I admire you for doing them, I gave up on predictions a long time ago when I realised how hopelessly off I was getting it every month (compared to what I expected it in my head).

Haven't we seen some months were people have got like 75% of the DNQs wrong, I think BJSC has become so much more open and less predictable in recent years (in terms of qualifications at least, gets more predictable in the final imo).

I think it’s also hard when there’s only six not making it. The margins are really small, some countries can even make it with 30pts so previously, it might have been easier to filter out the ones you think will get “trickle points”.

That being said, I like doing predictions because I find speculation the most fun part. I loooved the contest when people couldn’t decide if Mae Muller was going to win or flop and regardless of the end result, the back and forth was fun.

So expect very wide of the mark odds in the coming days xxx

Absolutely do not expect Scotland 2 to finish last (or probably even bottom 5), it's just obviously the least likely winner. Finding it hard to seperate my brain from thinking this is a 2 horse race for the win, but if something is to break it, then it's probably in the next category beneath.

Agreed on Jadakissnia as the winner, think it might be another landslide actually, or at least 40+ points ahead. None of the other entries feel like they tick the same amount of boxes at all to me, but I'll do some more lengthy odds at some point. I'd probably bump New Lexico, Danaëviia and Cheiron up a few places on first glance.
