No worries, I'm so impressed that you went to the effort of even making videos in the first place! Seriously, great job.

I can also totally relate to that feeling when hosting, I was a complete perfectionist stress head behind the scenes when I last hosted, but am telling myself that I made it out in one piece so will give it another go after a 4 year break

your taste will of course be missed but totally get it if you need to step back for a bit x

Must have been something in the water in semi 2 to finish second there with over 100 points even if the final fell below that projection, 12th is easily the best BJSC result I've had from such an unknown artist. Looking forward to a Jadakissnia-hosted contest!

Whatever happened to joint hosting? I've not seen hosts share the responsibility in years and it used to be a much more regular and acceptable thing to do to share the load.

I've actually joint hosted more times than I've solo hosted - shared duties with James, Bré and Joseph on different occasions before one go at running the whole thing myself. I'm not really sure why it died out but you're right, does feel like ages.

Oops well 32nd isn't quite mid-table like I prematurely said before (bottom 11, woo-hoo 🤭), but I was just pleased to get to the final and then receive two 18s as well.

Congratulations Jade, a rare winner this year that I've voted for, very well deserved and good end to the contest; plus really excellent hosting Blacksquare, really admired your effort with the aesthetics and the videos, you've put together a great production.

elsewhere very pleased to see Hendinia top 5 and a nice success for East Rukahavian; Greenfroze disappointingly in the bottom half, that's my winner still (still in awe at the 18 swap), same with Terra Avium just below it, I'll briefly pretend the top 25 don't exist x

oh and omg at Pagasa at 40th, even though there's a deduction, that should also have smashed and Deandria far too low - at least ONE of my top 5 is top 20, well done Harmonica, still wish you were higher x

I knew this was a niche entry (though I wish it wasn't), and looking at that semi it looks like I lucked out with the semi draw and getting into the final but, I'm not quite in the bottom few and I got a good few points so we take that and look to be perhaps more competitive next time (before something random sways me elsewise).

Yay for getting four 12s in the semi *.* not that it mattered in the end but oops at going from top marks in SF2 to nothing in the final from N DNTN

Over the moon that Mack finally got a top 5 finish, and my 18 as well so what a song to do it with. It wasn’t looking likely at one point so very glad the last few votes pushed him back up.

Glad to see Kath sneak another top 10 and Altyr too with their best entry in a while for me. Plus Pophub getting a podium with a really strong track too, much deserved.

Joalin did better than I expected when I first entered her, wasn’t sure whether it would appeal or not. Glad I went with it though as it’s been nice to see points from countries that FLJ wouldn’t usually appeal to. Although I laughed at me thinking I was sending someone really unknown only for Brer to say she’d finished top 5 on the popjustice contest haha.

Just catching up - firstly LOL at 39th but I did completely expect that after sneaking some of the listenthrough comments about the track not developing etc. But that’s fine, I just on this occasion wanted to send a song that was at No.1 in my chart and that I loved, I know it doesn’t reinvent the wheel and it’s lucky it was an AQ or it would have probably been a DNQ - thanks to all the voters, I appreciate the near 100 points ❤️

Very well done again to Jade, a great winner that grew on me a lot. I did hear it before the contest and didn’t think too much of it so went from that to 11 points! New Lexico was very instant and a deserved 2nd. Well done to Pophub for completing the podium and finally Mack getting a first ever top five!

Lots of other great pop in the top ten too - nice to see such a big hit for Zanmatony! If anything we can rest the ‘is pop dead in BJSC argument’ now as we have a lot of proof here that it isn’t.

I thought Dan would be top five with a strong entry and a spooky vibe but then it was only about 20 or so points away from 4th with all the closeness here.

Bronzil doing well is great, another lovely Turkish discovery. And Deandria was robbed, that was my favourite by a mile here, really beautiful and a unique entry.
