This was the first UK hit for the Australian twin sisters, spending five weeks in the top 10. They went on to have two more top 40 hits, including another number 8, 'You Ruin Me', which scored ten points in the first round.

  • Or maybe Bananarama's version leans in more to people's pop tastes rather than being to do with recency? A 40 year old song isn't really that much more recent compared to a 56 year old song!

Wonderful Life is the song I grew up to. It will always be special song for me. The melody is timeless and always gets me chills in positive way. One of best songs ever recorded for me

From 2011, Judas was the second single to be taken from Lady Gaga's second album 'Born This Way', giving her an eighth top 10 single.

For the next several songs I'll be able to think nothing other than "this finished above Yes and Karma Police??!"

Some moreso than others. Judas a lot!

I’ll be thinking the same!!

I appreciate 'Untouched' more now than I did at the time! The frantic strings, synths and vocals from the word go are a rush.

I remember initially being underwhelmed by 'Judas', particularly the chorus, but it has grown on me so much over time. The relentless, stabby electro house synths are particularly up my street. The 2010s didn't get much representation in my votes... but there must've been something in the air in 2011, as both that and 'Guilt' were exceptions that did get big points.

How can Judas be that low? One of my favourite Lady Gaga song. "Untouched" never did anything for me. "You Ruin Me" is so much better. Never got "Yes" - has no appeal for me.

30. Bananarama - Venus 1046pts

Three acts in the final have two songs and Bananarama are the first of them to appear. Venus had been part of their live set for a few years and when they finally had the idea of recording a dance version, their producers, Steven Jolley and Tony Swain, weren't keen so they turned to Stock, Aitken and Waterman. The result was a US number 1 single. It finishes 147 points ahead of Shocking Blue's original version.

I heard Untouched a lot as a kid but completely forgot how it sounded until recently, a really catchy track. Judas is up there as one of my favourite Gaga songs although it's a little bit tainted by some weird AI videos I've seen on Instagram using the track... As mentioned earlier I prefer the original version of Venus, Bananarama's sounds extremely dated.

Finally my big ones are starting to drop.

Venus and Untouched are two of only 12 songs that I nominated in the first round to make it to the final - so I now only have 10 left in the top 30.

Kelly Clarkson, Stronger was the song I gave most points to despite non-nominating in the very first round (so my number 13) that is still the only other song in my top 25 not remaining - so 22 of my top 25 are in the top 30.

Judas just missed my top 25.

Better Venus version etc.

Untouched has one of my favourite intros and opening verses, the chorus sadly doesn't quite live up to it but I do enjoy the song as a whole. Not a fan of Judas, Edge of Glory from the same album was much better.

Regardless of whichever Venus preference people may have, I am at least happy the other Bananarama song has placed higher in the ranking.

V surprised at such an early exit for Yes- I saw it was getting plenty of high marks (including from me) but hadn’t noticed the multiple low rankings as well

Untouched is one of best pop songs of this century. Period.

Venus is so irritating sorry.

Glad the right version of 'Venus' finished top 30.

I can take or leave 'Untouched' these days.

'Jude-arse' is definitely top tier Gaga, I loved how ridiculous and different to anything else it sounded at the time! Admittedly I don't return to it that often (sorry but 'The Edge Of Glory' is untouchable from that era), but I definitely still appreciate its quality.

'Untouched' has one of the best intros ever.

Bananarama - Venus has good and not too dated sounding 80s Hi-NRG production (unlike SAW's later songs).

'Judas' does fit into the club banger era of the time for me though! Good track.
