Monday at 16:431 day Strange that Michael's The Essential has seemingly been overtaken by Number Ones. It also suggests the streams from his back catalogue won't go to the movie soundtrack?

Monday at 16:551 day Oh wow was definitely not expecting Noah to sell that much I guess I should give the album a listen at some point!

Monday at 16:591 day Very healthy sales for Noah, I was expecting around 40-50 k so looks likely to manage that!

How the OCC just cannot allocate the streams towards one album is beyond my understanding.Like if I stream Beat It it counts towards Michael (soundtrack), Number Ones, The Essential and Thriller.
Monday at 17:251 day The midweek updates are sometimes a bit weird with the allocation of streams to compilations, I would expect streams will all go to the soundtrack (and original studio albums) only by the end of the week. Unless there are a significant number of big hits from him that are not on the soundtrack but are on one of the other compilations?I did think Noah was more likely to get #1 than the Foos but wouldn't have predicted the gap to be quite that big!'Baby Steps' only falling a couple of spots further supporting that it has not sold much on vinyl - perhaps it was just not very far behind 'Nice To Each Other' anyway (in which case actually it might hold on).
Monday at 17:261 day A bit of a mess with 3 Michael Jackson compilations charting. I wonder how that situation will end!And 3 surprising tracks debuting in the bottom end of the top 100 - I guess from being strong on Amazon.

I’m not sure why both of the other compilations are in – but they do have different tracklists. Both have a large number of sales this week, and possibly this has been influenced which one would be ahead. Number One has more sales - therefore streams of all the songs on it will go towards that album. But there will be loads of songs on Essential that are not on the other two compilations. If one of them is sales heavy, it will slide down the chart as the week goes on.
Monday at 17:391 day So, by the end of the week (when streaming has a bigger impact) I think they might switch most of the streams to Essential, then Number Ones either won’t chart at all or will be low down. Edited Monday at 17:411 day by GreyAsh

His Essential album which includes his solo and Jackson 5 material is the same
Monday at 17:581 day There was a vinyl edition of Number Ones released earlier this year - the reason that all 3 compilations are charting is probably down to physical sales? But it's bit of mess. It reminds me of when MJ died: The Essential, Number Ones, and King of Pop were all in the top 5!In terms of singles, Billie Jean is at 43, Beat It at 67, and at 76 is Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough! I didn't see that one charting ahead of the likes of Thriller or Human Nature, but it's good to see it in there.Though I don't understand how Bad is in the album charts, but not Off the Wall, considering the film only has one song from Bad in it!
