Each week (aiming for Sunday evenings) I'll post one of these polls and ask you all to select your favourites from the week's new entries in the UK Singles Chart top 100. Unlike the similar polls in the genre forums, this poll is multiple choice - I'll leave it to your discretion how you want to give votes, if you want to just vote for your favourite each week then go for it, if not you can vote for as many songs as you feel deserve a vote (I will encourage people to make sure they've actually listened to all of the songs before voting but I can't enforce that obviously x). There's also a 'none of the above' option if you want to put in a protest vote. And then feel free to post in the thread any rankings/ratings or general thoughts. The song with the most votes at the end of the week will be the winner.

Back on schedule with a single week poll this week, hooray. And perhaps it was for the best that the last two weeks were together as neither of them were especially interesting on their own. Week 15's poll especially saw a very strong performance for 'none of the above', picking up 11 votes, more than all but one of the actual songs on offer - although the winner of the week was by a surprisingly comfortable margin in the end. American country star Ella Langley only got 8 votes when she debuted with her breakout hit 'Choosin' Texas' earlier in the year but perhaps now she's a slightly more familiar name her next hit 'Be Her' (the second official single and third track to be released ahead of her second studio album 'Dandelion') has done better, winning with 18 votes. Its closest competition excluding 'none of the above' was a tie on 8 votes apiece for James Hype and LONOWN/riserayss. Four songs managed double figure votes from week 16, including Ella Langley again although her album track 'Bottom Of Your Boots' settled for 4th place in that vote. The winner there was US-based multinational (American/Filipino/Korean/Swiss) girlgroup KATSEYE with 'PINKY UP', their second hit of the year and first track released from forthcoming EP 'WILD'. That managed 20 votes, ahead of Teddy Swims on 15 votes. It's surely a sign of the end times that the pineapple himself managed to get more votes than a new Lady Gaga single which settled for 3rd place. On the other end, there was another contender for a 0-voter saved by just a single fan, Dobbo being the one to answer for Chris Brown not joining the goose egg club.

Full week 15 results:

1 18/45 Ella Langley - Be Her (#90)

[11/45 none of the above]

2 8/45 James Hype - Be Mine (#75)

2 8/45 LONOWN and riserayss - worry (#97)

4 5/45 STELLA LEFTY - Boston (#91)

5 4/45 DaBaby - POP DAT THANG (#98)

6 3/45 BTS - 2.0 (#94)

Full week 16 results:

1 20/45 KATSEYE - PINKY UP (#14)

2 15/45 Teddy Swims - Mr. Know It All (#54)

3 14/45 Lady Gaga and Doechii - RUNWAY (#32)

4 12/45 Ella Langley - Bottom Of Your Boots (#77)

5 7/45 Cameron Whitcomb - Kingdom Of Fear (#93)

6 5/45 Myles Smith - My Mess (#58)

[5/45 none of the above]

7 4/45 F3miii - NOBLE (#81)

8 1/45 Chris Brown - Obvious (#87)

This week's contenders:

Olivia Rodrigo - drop dead (#1)

sombr - Potential (#31)

Tyla - SHE DID IT AGAIN (feat. Zara Larsson) (#40)

Sabrina Carpenter - Sugar Talking (#65)

Lewis Capaldi - Stay Love (#68)

Lana Del Rey - First Light (#70)

KATSEYE - Touch (#88)

Madonna - I Feel So Free (#90)

Three artists who have won a poll already this year have contenders again this week, as a Record Store Day sales boost sees a belated debut for an older KATSEYE single (from before they became consumed by brainrot) to put them in contention for a second win in a row while sombr and Zara Larsson also have another crack at it. Of course they'd all have to get past the new #1 of the week, Olivia Rodrigo having been a consistent strong performer in these polls in their first incarnation. Plus further forum faves Sabrina Carpenter, Lana Del Rey and Madonna making this a very strong selection on paper. Lewis Capaldi is here also.

Just Sombr and Katseye this week. Suprisingly enjoyed Touch!

I could genuinely vote for all of these, apart from Capaldi!

I’ll limit it to 3 which would be Tyla/Zara, Olivia and Katseye. Really enjoying new Madonna and Sombr though.

I try to give just one each week but had to give Lana one as well as Olivia! First light is a brilliant track from Lana! Lewis came close but I haven’t listened enough this week to warrant a vote imo

The pop girls for me this week - Olivia, Lana and Tyla/Zara. I can't really see past a Ms Rodrigo win this week though!

  1. Olivia Rodrigo - drop dead

  2. Sabrina Carpenter - Sugar Talking

  3. KATSEYE - Touch

  4. Tyla - SHE DID IT AGAIN (feat. Zara Larsson)

  5. Lana Del Rey - First Light

  6. Lewis Capaldi - Stay Love

  7. Madonna - I Feel So Free

  8. sombr - Potential

Olivia's song might be my favourite song that's been in these polls so far this year so is an easy vote. Sugar Talking is probably the weakest on the album but it's one of my favourite albums so I still love it.

Touch is a bit generic but sounds a lot better than what they've been making over the past year or so. I think the verse on SHE DID IT AGAIN is a bit weak but I like the verses,

First Light, Stay Love and I Feel So Free are all songs I would describe as being 'alright'.

The sombr one is the only one that I think is truly naff. Easily his dullest song yet,

Completely agree. I've been trying to get into it but I can't. The epitome of an ironic song title!

Sombr needs to go back to '12 to 12' style of music - disco and new wave influenced and faster.

Voted for Lana - preferred her recent "regular" (will the album ever emerge) singles, but still my favourite this week - and Olivia made my vote threshold too.

Poor neglected 'none of the above' this week cry

Voted for:

Olivia Rodrigo

sombr

Tyla feat. Zara Larsson

Sabrina Carpenter (hadn't heard this since the album came out but it's really good!)

The Lewis song was actually lovely and the most I've enjoyed any of the Survive EP tracks, it's got a lovely melody. It's more of the same though and I'm a little bored of Lewis in general, but this is definitely his best in a while. First Light is also the most I've liked a Lana song in ages too to be honest, really like the dramatic production and it's good to hear a Lana song with a bit more going for it.

I Feel So Free will be a suitable album opener I have no doubt but on its own I've not felt the urge to return. Touch is a cute bop!

A strong week and I could've justified voting for everything actually so being a bit harsher!
