New Religion indeed on ACR 💔 #95 on the midweeks

  • Sorry what? If anything I'd have said it was self indulgent for her to perform it all the time considering it's... not her song? Lol

I will be holding Fleetwood Mac personally responsible and I demand a notes app apology from Stevie Nicks for blocking song of the year contender New Religion from the top 40 x (I'm joking) (mostly)

Contrary to rumours there was no Rein Me In duet at R1 Big Weekend. It doesn’t look like it was in the setlist at all.

The fact she doesn’t do this song in her live shows is so dumb and feels quite self indulgent. It’s the biggest song of the year, literally number 1 right now, it would go down an absolute storm - why avoid it?

The cassette is still available - not sure pricing it at £8.99 and £2.95 delivery will pull in big sales numbers though.

She needs Sam to do it! If she tried to do it herself it would just be her standing around/dancing while Sam's parts of the song play.

Next bank holiday is in August, so we'll be on schedule for nearly 3 months starting next week.

Bank holiday might be 3 months away but potentially more good weather and the world Cup probably will boost things

She could easily do a shortened version at the very least, similar to how Zara has added Stateside to her tour setlist.

Is it really that big a deal? Some artists are happy to perform features (I was surprised when Troye Sivan performed supernatural, the Ariana song he featured on the remix of, on his tour - pleasantly so!) and some would rather stick to their own material, especially if they weren't actually part of the conception of the song (or it's intended as a duet and the duet partner isn't there).

Doesn’t look like her team will do much, though discounting her cassettes would do the trick. I doubt they have many in stock though, considering the vinyl seemed to not have many copies stocked.

Yeah that was exactly my reaction and I was coming to post just that!

A looking as though they’ll get their 2nd highest charting album, and really pleased to see Billy Lockett in the Top 40 - been following his story on Instagram, hope he manages to hold onto a Top 100 place.

Cool to see Ed O'Brien from Radiohead showing up in the top 40 album mids, gave that a listen yesterday.

Edit: oh didn't realise his first solo album got to #13 (under 'EOB'), shame this one is quite a bit lower then despite a seemingly better reception

Hi Fi Serious was a good album back in the day but couldn't really get into A's latest stuff. They must be the hardest band to google lol

Surprisingly not! Literally typing in "A band" gives the correct first result.

Yeah but I mean if you want to do a wider search for things like "A albums", "A tour" or other stuff related to the band!

They've only revealed the top 75 on the midweeks singles this week.

Edit: Nevermind. Top 100 is there.

'A' frontman Jason Perry is quite a prolific producer mainly now - producing albums for the likes of McFly, Don Broco, The Molotovs... and Kingsland Road.
