DNQing with 12 votes is rough. Also no idea where the logic that semi tiebreaks are split by highest vote came from

I really think you should increase the number of points in the semifinal. I liked most of the songs, and out of almost 30 songs I had to leave 20 without points!! Now when I’m reading the comments, I feel guilty for not voting for some of them but how could I?! It’s not that I didn’t like them, there just wasn’t enough room for everything.

Ended up getting 9 out of 10 of my votes. Sad for Lookylion, I really liked that one....I actually felt I could have given it more because it kept growing on me after I voted but it wouldn't have made a difference anyway.

Semi 2 was ridiculously good so good stuff was inevitably going to suffer.

Benefits being out on a tiebreak sucks - but perhaps surprisingly for this kind of song it was actually "only" my 3 pointer which maybe should have been a bad omen. I wouldn't say it was especially close to my 4 pointer really but of course any DNQ that's so close is bound to have been a whisker away from getting one extra point from someone.

Definitely would have been even more of a suck for Chalk to be out as I am strongly rooting for Mack's Q streak to continue and this is one of their best entries to date for me so although bittersweet to lose another of my votes at the last minute that is the right decision out of the two x

I definitely wasn't expecting to lose as many as 3 of my votes from here so that's quite a disappointment (especially with my own entry also being out) but at least I did get all of my podium through x

Will edit in finalised rankings of the semi 1 DNQs at a later date when I've relistened again but I lost two of my current top 10 (Harmonica 5th, Lotunia 9th) and a couple more which were just outside so still have potential to rise into my top 10 with another listen.

Thanks for the hosting Till, shame to be back on the sidelines but shall look forward to the final nonetheless x

Was a very high quality set of votes, as said, very sad to see those 3 out. Cumulonimbia and Pagasa were the next two closest to my votes as well 😢

I really feel for those in semi 2 who entered with strong tracks only to end up in a high quality semi-final but not advance.

I think I lost just two of my votes from SF2, FSR Rontvia and Persephonia

I think this is the first ever time I've had blanket DNQ preds but managed to qualify!

Sorry I missed this reveal, but thank you all for taking me through! I was fairly confident in this one, but did worry momentarily that it wasn't a great song for the 'pop semi' with some bigger alt favourites.

Excellent qualifiers and one I really thought was doomed that I could only just sneak into my votes has made it through so pleased that it may well have made that difference! I only lost my three pointer, Harmonica, a shame but it's length and sound did seem like a borderline one. Lotunia also wasn't far off, a quite interestingly structured song.

I find Liella! to be wholesome at times, been casually paying attention to them since 2021 when they started as 5, so they are well deserving of at least one representation for my country. Maybe not the right song but it's the right act. 💜

I also liked the effort of creating a visual for 'Aspire' (it doesn't have an official video) because why not take it further with something for the listenthrough. I plan to do this again when a song warrants one in the future!

Also, it's nice to lose the burden of the Q streak. Aspiration failed successfully.

Abysmal results for semi 2 there

Congrats to all the qualifiers. I think all but one of my semi votes made it (Persephonia) and most of my Semi 1 faves too, I certainly can’t fault the quality of the final or hosting from @DaTilt!

I appreciate the 12 voters! It is a big shame to go out like that - I did think it could have done well in the final as firstly it’s a grower (please keep it on your playlists, the second half production and spooky backing vocal is so magic) and secondly it seems there were some other big fans in Semi 1! Is the way it goes but going out three times in five contests with songs that feel diverse and high quality is bitter pill to swallow.

At the same time I do feel for all the other non qualifiers - especially those on a streak. Sending hugs!

Oops forgot to vote lol - not that it would have made any difference to my chances but I was very much pulling out a potential from the vaults as my first choice was already taken.

Fair enough to take the L on this one, promise I'll vote in the final (maybe even on time as well!)
