And for England, football didn't come home and just like that, streams as we'd probably see when Thursday's streaming figures are released, 'Three Lions' , 'Wonderwall', 'Vindaloo', 'World In Motion' and 'Come On Eileen? will drop down ' as Argentina scored two late goals to beat them 2-1 in an bad-tempered cagey match where the South American dark arts played an ugly part in the first half .

The game is live on BBC One at Saturday at 10pm (UK Time) with commentary from Steve Wilson and Danny Murphy possibly, who'll probably mention his cat.

I was thinking I wouldn't even bother watching this but given it's a later KO on Saturday I probably will.

I'm most intrigued to see if Tuchel lets the handbrake off now there's no pressure. If he does then that will say a lot about our prospects under him going forward.

7 out of the last 8 third place play offs have been won by the team that was knocked out in the semi final by the eventual winners. Including the last two consecutive tournaments.

I have never cared less about an England game in the history of ever.

The last 10 minutes of that last match have absolutely gutted me honestly, the pathetic all out defensive tactics against one of the best teams in the world have just given me exactly zero desire to wish to see how this plays out.

Around 7,000 tickets are still listed on Fifa's ticket sites for Saturday's World Cup bronze medal match between England and France.

As of Friday at 10:00 BST, the game in Miami (kick off 22:00 BST) has not yet sold out with 1,246 tickets on general sale listed at $865 (£657) and $1,125 (£855).

There are a further 5,864 tickets available on the official resale platform, with the cheapest being category three available at a face value of $455 (£346) plus Fifa's 15% fee.

However, there are many tickets in the higher-priced categories listed well below what they were purchased for.

A category one ticket with an original price of $1,125 (£855) has a hugely discounted price of $659 (£500).

Yeah, third place play-offs are basically friendlies but tougher to stomach after you've been knocked out. I don't see what incentive there really is to play well.

I think it depends on your expectations going into the tournament. Croatia in 1998 and Turkey in 2002 were very happy to get 3rd place and the bronze medal because they exceeded their own expectations by getting to the semi finals in the first place. If Cape Verde for example had made it to the semi finals they would be very happy with a bronze medal by the end of the tournament.

This is our second time in a bronze medal match this decade, we are so not happy about this.

It would the tiniest of consolations to finally win one of these after losing the last 2.

A hefty bonus alongside the bronze medal so its not all bad

Kane and Bellingham on the bench. I don't think that's right. Plenty of teams would give anything to be playing for a third place. To me, it doesn't feel in the spirit of fair play.

It's a shame because it undermines the value of every bronze medal that came before, and thats a great achievement and deserves the same respect as silver or gold.

Considering England's tournament record from 1998 to 2016, I would consider this progress.
