How many women over 50 (or any artist for that matter) have had a #1? Don’t play dumb. Her last #1 was almost 20 years ago. In all likelihood this is her last chance.

So we’re all just playing dumb and acting like Xmas (and River) didn’t get to #1 because of Alexa’s annual Christmas miracle (just like Jess Glynne, Lizzo, Sam Ryder getting top 10s long past their peaks) and that women over 50 get chart hits all the time? Sure why not

You keep saying this like it’s a bad thing? Who cares where it’s popular - there are literally hundreds of local artists who only do well in their home market with massive selling releases.

And I should hope that ‘Dai Dai’ is popular around the world - it was literally played pre and post match at the World Cup games, and multiple times at the final along with a performance - a rare opportunity for a song to get that kind of extended exposure on a global scale.

Having modern artists breaking records is making a mockery of the classic artists who had these records with effort. With Frankie, Bryan and Wets, people actually went out and bought these songs. Shame Olivia didn’t include Rein Me In as a bonus track on her album because if she did, it would’ve diluted the sales for the song itself
