Bananarama look very safe for top 10 now which is absolutely amazing for them.

I'd love if Pulp Live could also manage to stay top 40 aswell.

Last week's mids and final chart:

Monday - HUGEL #2, Ella #3 (481 ahead)

Wednesday - HUGEL #2, Ella #3 (750 ahead)

Friday - HUGEL #2, Ella #3 (593 ahead)

So the gap widened on Wednesday as HUGEL pulled ahead, but Ella caught up a bit by Friday. Could see the same happening here, it's shrunk slightly today as HUGEL have caught up a tiny bit, but I think Ella will end up staying ahead. Not sure Sienna's quite doing enough to overtake a gap of 1k+ at this stage either.

Bananarama have dropped 2 more downloads for the album - a rarities versions on iTunes for £4.99, and a remastered video version via their website for £5.99 - love that the label are really going for it.

Just realised that although ‘True Confessions’ was a flop in the UK, it reached 15 in the US - and was their biggest album there. It was the 2nd of 3 consecutive albums by Bananarama to have a US top 10 single. Which seems crazy these days when UK acts struggle to break through there.

Love this, i wonder are they hoping to achieve a first Top 5 album for a Bananarama studio album, as their only other album to go Top 5 was The Greatest Hits Collection.

Incredible that Bananarama are holding at #3, thought they'd be looking at low top 10 by now! It's a shame that 'Jolene' has fallen so much, I can't say I'm excited about any of the #1 contenders now, Ella, Hugel and Sienna are all very average to me but at least one of them will FINALLY #reinreinmeinin!

ive been saying though it also gives an ai artist a no.1 so where do we draw the line.

I've been streaming Ella today. I did love it about six months ago... not really checked it for ages but it's my favourite of the contenders and it's been one of the year's biggest hits so it's hard to begrudge it topping the chart.

I usually love everything Sienna does but have struggled so far to see what's so special about Great Expectation that it should become her biggest hit. Wish it was Pure doing that well.

But when are Bananarama going to give us True Confessions II?
