Wednesday at 15:433 days Is the Drake remix that keeps getting mentioned actually a real thing? That sounds awful? 😂
Wednesday at 15:433 days I've gotta say, this will be the most interesting chart show listen in a long time. GENUINELY have no idea how that top 5 will look. And this will be a quiz question of future times / general knowledge for current pub quizzes. "Which song officially ended the record breaking reign of Sam Fender / Olivia Dean".
Wednesday at 15:453 days I half feel like the Drake “remix” is just a bootleg thing he’s made himself.

That sounds awful? 😂it DOES exist and has been teased by Drake, however it's (hopefully) just a bootleg/unofficial remix (he used to make quite a few of these around the early-mid 2010s) rather than an official/commercially released remix Edited Wednesday at 15:523 days by maggotsforbrains

Wednesday at 16:063 days I do actually think Choosin Texas is a fantastic song and it does feel like a country classic already so I support it being a #1 but I find it hard to celebrate it because we’re moving on to another number one that makes it there after about 35 weeks.I used to laugh at how slow Hot 100 moved compared to our charts but it feels like it’s become much of the same over here and it’s just not exciting to follow at all.
Wednesday at 16:103 days Yeah, charts have been awful almost everywhere, but that won't stop me from believing (delulu) that slayyyter is smashing left and right 💅
Wednesday at 16:133 days Despite the Top 5 being so close, the actual streams are very low. The number one track this week may have fewer than 30,000 chart sales, can anyone remember the last time that happened?
Wednesday at 16:243 days From the chart vault, I found this week back in 2008:“28/06 | 23,212 | Coldplay Viva La Vida”
Wednesday at 16:273 days An Drake remix is exactly what we need for Choosin' Texas. Drake has.not done anything wrong.

Of course, we're comparing apples and oranges with this as that would have been sales only (and some added bananas into the mix as the non-ACR #1 would clearly still be over 30k).

Wednesday at 16:573 days Hugel going from 187 sales behind Ella yesterday to 175 today! The comeback is on
Wednesday at 17:063 days calling it now Choosin Texas spends over 10 weeks at number one to continue the theme of 2026 being sheer mediocrity and sluggish paceI expect the Drake remix is happening only to ensure she beats the Mariah Carey US record (well at least until this or next Christmas) but will of course ensure she’s on top here for ages too

Seems the latter might get there next week anyway. Happy for those 2 to do a tag team in blocking the other 2 contenders.Ironic that it's Jolene that might be going from 9 to 5

Wednesday at 17:113 days Woo... Let's all celebrate that Choosing Texas is likely to make #1 in it's 35th week on the charts.Fresh music at the top.I see that Ordinary by Alex Warren is all the way down at #35. I wonder if it is finally on its way out, or whether it's just a product of the album release?
