Skyfall still sounds pretty epic, Marina definitely feels like the least ubiquitous here, it's the only one I don't remember that well but it sounded quite good on relisten so let's see if it can weather this. I do quite like the Zara song too, but definitely falling under the weight of this category here.

'Wuthering Heights' a classic too and Robyn's is top notch also. Like 'Skyfall' but don't adore it. 'Oh No' is the only single from this Marina era I recall enjoying somewhat and sounded good listening to it last night. Don't care for 'Never Forget You'.

That’s my fav Robyn song ever and I think it will survive so I’ve decided to prioritize Marina there.Kate Bush and Sophie are undeniable classics. Despite being enjoyable, Murder is slightly overrated. Zara is meh but Skyfall is way too boring to not put it last.Justice for Agnes.

Kate was always going to win with that classic though. Of the remaining two, while I liked both they didn't quite hit the heights of the others for me. Marina was a better track than Zara which was easily the weakest of the lot for me.

13 hours ago13 hr I'll start by saying that my top five in this category I absolutely adore, the artists in this round are fighting for their lives every week!Robyn & Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat - simply one of the finest songs of all-time, and an incredible moment when she returned from nowhere with this to No.1, and then has since proven time and time again why she is one of the greatest pop stars of any generationSophie Ellis-Bextor - Murder on the Dancefloor - it pains me not to put this top, I was so obsessed with this song and Sophie in 2001, and the way it returned again a few years ago to the same amount of success was amazing, it is an absolute disco pop gem and while it may feel like an early play, looking at her top 10 most streamed songs it makes sense to play it here to make sure she gets safely through this roundKate Bush - Wuthering Heights - one of the most distinctive songs of all-time, again it feels wrong putting it this low. It's a work of genius and influenced so much music and so many artists from that point through to todayAdele - Skyfall - I really loved this at the time and am not big into Bond themes generally but it was classy and dramatic and feels very grand. I've always loved that MARINA song! Such a fun bop and deserved more (well, story of her career tbh!). Kate's and Zara's songs are both ruined by their vocals for me. I find both quite piercing, personally. SE-B song I've enjoyed in the past but I can't really stand it anymore (even before the 'Saltburn' revival!!) and that Adele song has always bored me.

11 hours ago11 hr 01 Robyn - With Every Heartbeat (I don’t think I appreciated this as much as I should’ve at the time but has aged like a fine wine and have finally seen it live - easy number one)02 Zara Larsson & MNEK - Never Forget You (not amongst my Zara faves but I do think it’s aged very well and the fact I don’t listen to it loads probably helped it stand out - one of Zara’s best vocal moments though)03 Kate Bush - Wuthering Heights (the highest I’ve put The Bush so far, I think! Probably her best song for me)04 Marina - Oh No! (not a Marina fave but pretty undeniably a bop of its own right and feels like the right level to send at this point for an artist in the running to win, so smart choice)05 Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Murder On The Dancefloor (two years ago, this would probably be at #2 as it is a fantastic classic of a pop song - sadly, as I’ve worked in a gay bar for most of the last few years, this has been hammered to death to the point it makes me groan a little and I need a few years for it to recover. Not the fault of the song and very clearly a good choice for Sophie at this point but just a personal thing)06 Adele - Skyfall (I respect this song and I think it’s one of the better Bond songs but it’s not one I’d ever lean towards playing if I were to mine her back catalogue and feels like the weakest of this pack for me)This was nooooot easy, I do not envy any of the mentors in this category cos nobody has made a bad choice, it’s just crazily competitive.
