What I think theyre trying to say is... if GA and Sugababes did it (For as long as McFly have) they wouldnt get half the stick McFly are getting

 IF they do it. They havent done it have they? Soz but this is just pointless. Whats the point in making presumptions about something that hasn't happened already and looks unlikely to happen?

And i wasn't calling the signings cheating, i was talking about the offers that they have which must mean they make about 1p for each cd.

oh my god. McFly

Oh no... I forgot about McFly. Chart run prediction: 1-19-32-OUT :P

At least the SugaBabes re-entering makes up for it. :)

Seeing as it's on the album in the Mail On Sunday next Sunday its quite possible it could drop further than that, surely?

I hope so

Hate is a strong word, but I don't like McFly and I agree that the majority of their #1's are un-deserving and forgettable.

:o :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: at Sharleen in the albums. It was only 7.99 in Morrisons. I thought she's just scrape into top 10, i should have more faith :P . Hope she holds steady.

McFly will be number 1 on Sunday, but I agree with the posters that say they could drop out of the top 20 next week. I think Kid Rock will take over at the top next week.

For the record, I actually liked McFly's first 3 singles, but the rest have been instantly forgettable. Having said this, they must have made a few decent songs to have built up the fan base in the first place. It was strange to think that 1 act had 2 number ones and neither made the top 200 sellers of the year. Their albums have not done very well either.

Edit - just watched the video, and One for the Radio is better than their last few efforts. Deserves top 10 on merit, but not number 1.

Good lord. I can't stand McFly or their new single but I really hope they're number one just to p*** off the vast legion of utter morons that seemed to have found their way to this thread!

I wouldn't say the rest after the first 3 were forgettable. All About You wasn't one of their first 3 songs for a start.

On the subject of their albums, I've always found that with McFly their album tracks are better than their singles quite often, excluding most of Room On The Third Floor, but apparently that was the record label not wanting them to risk releasing the more different songs. But saying that, releasing OFTR seems like a strange choice to me from what I've heard - and that's a definite straight from McFly idea off their own label now.

I'm not McFly's biggest fan, but the single is infinitely better than that Kid Rock atrocity murdering Werewolves of London & Sweet Home Alabama.

I admire the fact they've left their record company and gone it alone, and I love the fact they claim they only spent £8,000 (in last Sunday Mail's supplement on recording the album in just 3 weeks), in one of the member's own home studio that he built.

I also love the fact the song's lyrics are having a pop at everyone who hates them, when there are far more deserving (less talented) acts of getting the bile that McFly receive. Especially as the track is better than 90%+ of all those dreadful US Emo acts who makes similar sounding records.

Bring on the free CD in the next Sunday Mail.

I hope so

Sorry but why are they undeserving? They deserve to get to No.1 just as much as anyone else? I'm no Mcfly fan but you can't say they've had so many No.1's without deserving them.

Let's be CLEAR here McFly will NOT be No1 on Sunday. A 5k lead on Tuesday is NOT enough when they fade so badly during the week...

The ones that made No1 started at LEAST 15-20k ahead. Baby's Coming Back sold well over 70% of its total weekly sales in the first 3 days, McFly simply won't be able to sustain sales at their current level. Dizzee, Kid Rock possibly Basshunter and Jordin will overhaul this one day wonder in no time at all simple as that!

Your chart knowledge overhelms me, you should start up a daily chart quiz, or a daily chart trival topic. :D

I agree that I fully expect Dizzee Rascal to overhaul them well before Sunday, as for the rest of the Top 5 songs, until I see their advantage, then it is difficult to say.

i so hope mc fly lose the number 1 spot by sunday

sharleen doing very well in the albums i didnt expect her album or basshunters to do aswell as they are doing,,give it to me by madonna is having a very similar chart run to kylie's wow

Well lots of mcfly haters on here i for one am pleased to see them with yet another number 1 eventhough kid rock is who i'd rather have it. So good to see About you now back if it stays in the chart by friday then i might chuck it back in my chart too :D

And of course no sign of the feeling or linkin park which is not a suprise

The Feeling have actually got an undeserving flop with Turn It Up :(
Let's look what happened the last time McFly were No1... On the Weds mids from that week...

01 McFly - Baby's Coming Back/Translyvania (22k)

02 Shakira & Beyonce - Beautiful Liar (11k)

by Sunday...

01 McFly - Baby's Coming Back/Translyvania (30k)

02 Shakira & Beyonce - Beautiful Liar (25k)

this time around they are only 5k ahead not 11k! I think Dizzee will take them with ease during the week.

Cheers for digging that up. They sold just 8k in the last 4 days.

I agree.

I might be buying their album as I quite like that song and their other newer ones.
