Wow so Coldplay on for 100k this week then, thats great - the top 40 should all sell around 15k copies - maybe even 5 million singles will be sold overall - amazing!!

For all we know Coldplay may already be on 100k - the 75.9k figure is a minimum based on a sales increase of at least 50% over 50,622 for all of last week.

 

I always thought it meant an increase of what it was doing this time last week.

The chart report produced by Millward Brown / the OCC does compare sales v the same period last week but the midweek charts at Music Week do indicate when the sales increase is above what the record sold for the whole of the previous week (ie Sunday to Saturday).

 

Shocked that Military Wives have had SUCH a drop in sales, I guess it really won't pass 700k in total so I was wrong there and will admit that! Was right about Ed Sheeran going back up to #1 in the albums though and not Adele as the experts had predicted :D

had hoped to see Battleground by The Wanted climbing :( ........ then again.... their first album returned to the top 5 purely based on the fact that everywhere was selling it for £5...... Battleground is still around the £7 mark. ......

I dont think MW will drop that much, its only really been since last night that it has tumbled so much!!

I hope this isn't the only update we get this week because I'm now REALLY anxious about Paradise. Especially as its lead is slipping on iTunes now.

Wow DWMT back up to 2! It's done very well to go above Military Wives, I didn't expect it to chart so consistently well. Shame HSAB probably isn't gonna go back into the top 10 but it's still doing very well considering how long ago it was released. ICYDK holding firm at number 3 outselling Winehouse. What an incredible year for Olly Murs.

Yes Echoes has sold remarkably well considering Will did little to promote it over the festive period. I really hope the commercial radio stations show more support for the third single as this brilliant album deserves to keep on selling.

Currently Lou Monte is on #29 as far as I can see on iTunes Domino and JLS track are the only 2 tracks yet to appear on the officials, so out of Rebecca, Lou Monte and Justin, 2 of these acts have to fall out, hopefully Rebecca can hold on.
