September 23, 201214 yr Good job it didn't go to #1 then if it's fallen to #8 in its second week. Still love the song though! :D
September 23, 201214 yr Dappy said he's releasing a Christmas single, and he's "sure" it will go top 5. I hope it does, but I doubt it. I hope it's called "Hoe Hoe Hoe" and follows SEX etc from N Dubz :coffee: Decent debut for Good Intentions. It should help sell the album and he's proved how versatile he is now too. Find it weird when people say they have flopped recently when all three have managed top 20 singles in the space of a month. Does getting top 20 mean nothing anymore?
September 23, 201214 yr Nof if you're a pedant. As far as I am concerned the century began on 1 January 2001. I would be with you on that, but I stayed up until midnight on 31st December 1999 to see the new millennium (first time I'd ever stayed up for New Year) and because of this, no matter what common sense tells me I must believe that this century started on 1st January 2000
September 23, 201214 yr Who's out of the top 40? These songs are out from the top 40: 36. Plan B - Deepest Shame 34. Coldplay feat. Rihanna - Princess Of China 32. Elbow - One Day Like This 26. Simple Plan feat. Sean Paul - Summer Paradise

September 23, 201214 yr Good to see this falling slowly - quite a deserved number 1 imo. The only thing I don't like is the line "they can't detain you", they were clearly looking for a two-syllable word for "stop", but it sounds like someone was trying to frame them for a crime

Does getting top 20 mean nothing anymore? The other day people on this forum call Ciara and Keri Hilson flops aswell. It's ridiculous. They're more successful than like 90% of the artists I listen to!!! There's some artists that I'm delighted to see even in the top 1000 on iTunes lol. I think people who like primarily Katy Perry, Britney Spears, etc. don't really get a full perspective on things. A top 40 hit is a big achievement for most people, even if it's only there for one week.

September 23, 201214 yr How can that be? 2000 was the first year of the 21st century. No it wasn't. There was no year 0 so 1 was the first year of the first century.
September 23, 201214 yr I would like to make an apology for last week. I was the one that led in saying Tulisa's record has flopped. But that was because of expectations. We have to understand that the Urban music market has gone downhill at late, despite the No.1 single R.I.P from Rita and Tinie earlier this year. Because of this, and the fact it was to promote the album, not intending it to be a big hit, we should all understand that it is still one of the urban genre's biggest hits this year so far. I'm sorry if I kept going on about it, I'm also sorry for spamming. It still flopped Matthew  Mumford and Sons' new single is currently doing better (hasn't had THAT much more airplay than Live It Up), and folk rock isn't exactly a big thing in the UK either. And songs like Ni**as in Paris, ill Manors and Watchtower were easily bigger "urban" hits than LIU
