I was struggling to think of anything because I very rarely *hate* a song. However Joseph reminded me that I hated Elyar Fox - A Billion Girls, which I had forgotten about for a while. :puke2:

I actually forgot about that! Yep, it truly is the pits.

I thought 'Promise This' was a pretty brave lead single and I don't mind it at all. Far more interesting that 'Fight For This Love'.

Outkast - Hey Ya!

Enough said. Probably have mentioned it in here before but it's sooo annoying. I truly hate every note and every word of it.

Yes!

Also off the top of my head (I may have already posted here):

Pharrell - Happy

Gnarls Barkley - Crazy

Daft Punk - Get Lucky

Pj & Duncan - Let's Get Ready To Rhumble

John Newman - Love Me Again

Mr Probz - Waves (Robin Schulz Remix)

Ne-Yo - Let Me Love You, One In A Million and Because Of You

Ten Walls - Walking With Elephants

Tony Christie & Peter Kay - Is This The Way To Amarillo?

Probably forgot some but these stick out to me.

Chainsmokers - #Selfie could almost rival Elyar Fox's dirge for worst song of the year (or worst song since this thread was last bumped), no redeeming qualities at all really.

I somehow didn't mention it the first time I posted here (almost two years ago, Gawd!), but Leona Lewis' Hurt is definitely the worst thing I've ever listened to. I don't wanna say 'song' as it's a song I love when sung by Johnny Cash.

Marina and the Diamonds - 'Shampain'. I loathe it for some reason and am not prepared to listen to it again to determine why.

I forgot that her version of 'Hurt' even existed. In a way I despise 'Run' more because more people seem to think it's the better version. Also 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' to a lesser extent.

Run just isn't better as Leona. It's a good cover but that's where it ends. I'm not one of those people to blindly believe all original versions are the best but in this case it's true.
Are we seriously not gonna talk about how horrible "It's My Birthday" is?

It's by will.i.am. Therefore, the fact that it is terrible can be taken as read.

Scream and Shout

Appleton - Fantasy

Blur - Crazybeat

Snoop Dogg - Drop it Like It's Hot

Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

Googoo Dolls - Iris

The Calling - Wherever You Will Go

Birdy - Wings

everything by The Script and everything by Nickelback

Why must she ruin all my favourite songs? :( I agree, Run is a passable cover, but I really don't like how it's become more highly regarded than Snow Patrol's when neither the depth nor emotion is anywhere near as present as it is in the original. It could easily be a live show performance from any contestant. (Gosh, how I hate it when they refer to it as a Leona Lewis song)

It's not as bad as 'Skinny Love' though. You literally never hear anyone refer to it as a Bon Iver song (I suppose it's understandable as the original was a bit 'underground' and Birdy is the reason the general public know the song, but it's still very annoying when Birdy's version is so needlessly inferior). 'People Help The People' also suffers from the same thing although that never became quite as 'ubiquitous' as 'Skinny Love'.

And she covered Run too, and called Wings.

Birdy is someone that I really can't abide. There seems to be zero originality about her.
