Just when the public were starting to develop good taste, they decided to back possibly the worst song ever created? :(

You should have mentioned that you didn't like ' We Can't Stop'.

I urge members not to download this :(

Yeah, I didn't mean promo singles for massive artists, I meant when small British artists release buzz singles to get hype and then push them later on in their campaigns. Tom is one example of it working (there's also Florence & The Machine with 'Dog Days') but most times it happens, it's a bad choice. Besides, it's just good business to push an actually new single when you're launching an album - you won't convince anyone who already knows their stuff to buy an album by releasing something they already know.

Maybe the better idea is to re-release the song after the album, if you must?

BTW, was this AlunaGeorge song deleted? If not, what are people pre-ordering?

Quite frankly I haven't mentioned it enough. I am actually going to be scared for the future of music if it goes to #1.

How dare you choose to support a movement that will result in children't brains being brianwashed as the most popular song in the country. :( :(

Well in my opinion Get Lucky is shit, doesn't mean that song is ruining popular music.

(Musically We Can't Stop is much less creative and more generic admittedly but I much much prefer WCS)

We've had far worse number ones, in comparison ' We Can't Stop ' would be a fantastic number one, it would make it even better because 'Trampoline ' is incredibly overrated.

Even if it doesn't get to #1, at least she'll finally have a top 10!
Good lord at the hyperbole in here, it's not even amusing hyperbole - just ridiculous sweeping statements. I seriously doubt that a song about partying and doing what you want, aka the subject of about 50% of songs in this genre, is going to ruin music. Even if Miley is one of the most disgusting and cringy bints in showbiz atm.
We Cant Stop deserves and will be huge. An easy Top 3 at the very least, ideally #01 though! :D.
I suspect We Can't Stop is being VASTLY overestimated here! I can't see it doing any more than say 80-85k max leaving it well behind the likes of Tinie Tempah and Avicii in the charts. A sizable hit for someone like Cyrus, but hardly a Icona Pop or John Newman magnitude of smash...
While I don't think it'll hit #1, I'm pleased to see Miley is looking for a decent-sized hit (and a T10 at last). "We Can't Stop" sounds really different from most things in the chart at the moment, so it's no wonder it's doing well.
Most of her singles should have gone top 10, imo. 'See You Again', '7 Things' (her best for me), 'Fly On the Wall', 'Party In the USA', 'Can't Be Tamed' all deserved top 10. CBT is such a good album though. 'We Can't Stop' thoroughly deserves to be such a big hit and I'm very pleased it's looking likely to go that way. I hope she won't be as front loaded as I fear though, coz as much as I like Tinie's new song, I definitely prefer Miley's now.

I won't be going anywhere near the buy button on iTunes B-)

"I Love It" is being used in another advert and seems to be benefitting from it.

I hope "We Can't Stop" will be a huge smash and go gold at the very least.

"Ho Hey" to #41. NO! :(

Leona's "Run" to #98. Hope it can hang on to a top 100 placing on Sunday, but doesn't look like it will.

I've always liked Miley and really loved 'See You Again', 'The Climb' and 'Party In The USA' (the latter two were my most played songs in 2009 and take me back to very happy memories) and while I think 'We Can't Stop' is pretty interesting and catchy, I cannot stand the way she acts in the video. I get the fact she's trying to be edgy and portray a "grown up" image but it's all very immature and I hate the numerous shots of her either rubbing her ass or grinding on the bed. It's awkward looking and very cringeworthy. Also the drug references ("dancing with Mollie", "trying to get a line in the bathroom") aren't really cool.

Still, I think it'll be a hit. Top five for sure.
