Olly is at #39 with RPRT. I'm really liking this Bastille song on first listen :D

These were my thoughts exactly, just downloaded it straight away after hearing it on the chart update!

Glad Olly just sneaked in, hopefully he can maintain this top 40 position for the rest of the week, unlike Busy.

Ouch at Matt/Mel dropping down all the way to No. 34  Hopefully not out of the Top 40 until Sunday

Yeah at Shane Filan in at No. 7 :yahoo: I told you that there's more that counts than the itunes singles-chart, but nobody wanted to believe it, just to call it a flop

Ouch at Matt and Mel's drop, I suppose a week at 14 was a surprise enough. Should have known everything would end up back to normal this week.

2 new entries inside the top 10 singles. Shane at #7 was totally unexpected. :o

Yay for The 1975 at #26.

Come one Bastille & Olly too!

Shane Filan at 7 my word, so how many weeks in the top 40 2 or 3 lol??

Tbh, judging by twitter, Shane seems to be visiting a HMV daily to sign copies of his single . Anyway, I don't know why people were calling him a flop. It's not as though people really cared for individuals in Westlife and their final single sold very little so I would never have expected a solo Westlife single to have reached Top 40 at all.

I take it Bastille have entered the Top 40 though  It looks like they may hold on too looking at iTunes!

Good to see Shane in the Top 10 - Can't see him holding on though and will do a Mel and Matt and drop by Sunday.

It will be interesting to see where Shane is next week. I don't call songs that relay on multiple fanbase buys "hits". Sorry!

Bastille are already at #38 in the midweeks, so hope they can cling on to a Top 40 place come Sunday! :)

Did they play Same Love in the Chart Update?

Why should they play a song in the Chart Update that is not in the Chart?

Also in the album chart - Franz Ferdinand at #5 (hoping they stick in the top 10), and rather oddly, an fabulously, a Belle & Sebastian b-sides album is in the top 30.
