Well hello there and welcome to Buzzjack's dance forum, the place to discuss all kinds of electronic dance music!

Forum Guidelines

1. You are encouraged to make threads for songs that are likely to generate discussion and/or interest. Check if there is already a thread you can use before starting a new one. Otherwise use the new and forthcoming dance releases thread.

2. The OP of any song thread must contain an audio link if one is available. You are also encouraged to comment on the song and post the artwork. For an album thread, you are encouraged to post the track list in the OP, if available.

3. The title of any song/album thread must contain the artist name and the song/album. It is advisable to put the release date in the subtitle especially if it is unreleased (or a TBA if the date is unknown).

4. For artists with a small following and consistent release schedule, consider making an artist thread instead of one thread for each of their releases. It is advisable to tag their latest release in the sub-heading.

5. The moderators reserve the right to edit your thread OPs to include information such as track titles and music videos.

6. If you have a suggestion or want to host a rate, please PM one of your friendly dance mods or use the welcome or rate discussion thread.

7. Any spam will be deleted by a moderator.

And most importantly have fun using the forum! :D

Just having a general tidy up this evening.

Can I ask that maybe for lesser-known DJs or DJs that perhaps don't generate much discussion that you create an Artist thread for them and all releases/discussions can be kept in one place? If a particular song becomes popular, I'll separate the thread for discussion where necessary.

Thanks all :)

Another friendly reminder that not every song needs its own thread. If it's by a somewhat prominent DJ, but not a major release, use an artist thread, otherwise use 'new and forthcoming dance releases', or 'remixes, reworkings & remakes' if appropriate. Just helps to make the forum look tidier, thanks.

Can we PLEASE make sure we are using the new and forthcoming releases thread for dance tracks by little known/unknown artists thank you

After some feedback from the last contest, Club Bizarre is now pinned whilst the voting period is open.

I've also unpinned the 2021 remixes / samples etc threads due to a lack of discussion in them

The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed we have updated our description of the dance forum now, giving special mention to Joel Corey and Becky Hill amongst the names and removing Avicii’s name. Also mentioning Club Bizarre to highlight one of the main events of the Dance forum.

Thank you all, it’s great to be able to help, and I’ll make sure to keep it updated for any future artist threads made. ^_^

Hey everyone, has anyone else noticed the forum has been quieter lately, especially after the update? It feels like only posts about the biggest artists and hits are getting attention. I’d love to share some fresh music, even if it’s not the most mainstream. What do you think?

It would be cool to see the New & Future Releases thread being used more.

Although I do think perhaps this welcome thread should get a re-do with the new site having come in which can be used as a multipurpose for sharing less mainstream fresh music. This I can work on shortly.

Now we've got a better-working search function the artist thread collation may not be necessary either
