A lower league Swedish footballer could be heading into the Top10 which is AronChupa who I believe plays in the Swedish fourth division. Am I right?

Wow at Ciara :o

If only radio could get behind it, it obviously has the makings of a smash. I don't think I'm Out ever got this high did it?!

I know 1xtra have playlisted this, surprised no other stations have yet though. If it keeps rising, I guess they'll have no choice.

I Bet sounds like it could have been released in 2005, during R&B's commercial peak in the UK. I take it the song's about Future too!?

What makes you say that!? Never knew different regions of this country had varying taste to that degree.

For what its worth, I've never heard anybody play this Albatraoz song (yet). From what I've heard of it, it sounds absolutely horrendous.

Commercial/cheesy dance music has always been more popular in the North and Scotland. The sort of stuff that AATW Records used to do well with in the 90s and 00s used to sell more there than anywhere else.

I miss regional hits breaking out! Oceanic's “Insanity” was a good example (it was massively popular in Warrington, Manchester and Liverpool) - though that actually crossed over to the mainstream in the south eventually. On full release it debuted at 21 (with well over half of its sales from Lancashire alone) and then broke out and rapidly ascended into the Top 3.

songs picked from radio 1's playlist [not in the top 100]

Yeah you're right, he plays for Byttorps IF. He should stick to football tbh

Diplo to have two songs in the top 10 soon then by the looks of it! 🙌 #chartsaviour
Really want I Bet to be another hit for Ciara here. Been too long since she had a successful single in the UK. Last one that comes to mind is Taking Back My Live with Enrique and I think that was 2008/2009.

That was great but you're forgetting 'Love, sex and magic' featuring JT which was her last top 40 hit (top 10 hit as well).

Just listened and it's so bland! I wish it was 'Fantastic Baby' going top 100 instead! :(

Yay at some non-novelty K-Pop going top 100 though *.*

The follow up, 'Work', featured Missy Elliot and I was convinced it would smash. :(

Jak U is the track of the day today, so I expect it to be safely in the top 10 at the end of the day.

Wow, I had no idea BIGBANG were back, and certainly didn't expect to find out about it via the iTunes thread, Fantastic Baby and Tonight are some of the best K-Pop boyband tracks out there.

This new one is on the side of K-Pop I expected would always stay firmly in Korea, it's a bit bland and pleasant, which isn't what I know BIGBANG for. I'll take what I can get though, just HOW is it this high?

Seems they must have some sort of UK fanbase still, a quick search tells me they made a brief Top 200 appearance 3 years ago with 'Blue' as well!

Are there any highly anticipated releases from major artists coming in the next few months? I know Rihanna has started her campaign and has so far underwhelmed. Surely Lady GaGa and Bruno Mars are due to release their next albums? It seems like Adele and Emeli are holding off until Q4. Leona's new album should be released in the next couple of months also. I get a good feeling (for once) about Fire Under My Feet. If Island play their cards right, I can see her finally getting that 4th #1.
Yeah, Lady Gaga I don't think is nearly ready. She needs to take her time and find some stronger material. Rihanna will release a decent selling album at some point, but I don't think it'll match the success of previous efforts. The only obvious one is Adele who will surely be #1 on the album charts for about 47 weeks straight. She could Beyonce her album at any point.

89. Ben E. King - Stand By Me

679. Ben E. King - Stand By Me

In light of the news that he has died today :( R.I.P. Such a brilliant song/a classic I am pretty sure no matter how old or young you are, you know it.

iTunes has been frozen for hours hasn't it?
