If we had them our top 100 would remain much fresher than the US Hot 100 but at the moment we have songs like Mr Brightside, Chandelier and Lean On hogging positions in the top 100 that could go to songs and artists that would otherwise not get the recognition of having a minor chart hit. Oh please can someone make this happen? The charts are stale. :manson: I used to love watching the chart but streaming is currently killing my interest.

Most people don't look for new music.
August 30, 201610 yr Yep it actually feels like more of a chart these days & not which act had the best marketing/promotion strategy each week of the year which is far better. After all Charts are predominately there as a means of an aggregation of data. Fresh music IS all around us but the vast majority of casual listeners aren't bothered about that they'll just listen to the top tracks on Spotify which they're fully entitled to do!
August 30, 201610 yr Saying what's already been said... But shame that "Don't Let Me Down" couldn't make #1 but "Closer" now might - the former is much better. Was hoping that if anyone toppled "Cold Water" it'd be "Let Me Love You" - perhaps the release of a music video could boost it.
