Joe McElderry on track for his 4th top 10 album. Not sure many other X Factor stars have achieved this (if it makes it) - One Direction, Olly Murs, anybody else?

Joe Elderry like Matt Cardle had so much potential as an X Factor winner. If Syco had put the same level of work into them as they have done with Louisa Johnson they could have been so much more successful.Luckily for Joe, his debut album and only with Syco was not his biggest seller as he went on to exceed it.

Little Mix

Oh yeah, I always forget that Little Mix came from the X Factor.

My nearest secondary school is literally at the end of my street and around the corner, it's less than a 30 second walk away. That's another thing - the street is usually clogged up with cigarette ends as the kids all stand at the end of the street smoking like chimneys before school and during the lunch break. And the teachers just leave them alone as they are outside of the school gates. In my day we would have been frog marched into school and caned or given the slipper even if we were outside of school premises.

"Hey Teacher, leave those kids alone" ;)

They've progressed an unbelievable amount since the show. They've gone from four goofy girls next door to four absolute gorgeous superstars. The best X factor act of all time

Matt's album didn't sell too badly, I think his split from Syco was more of an amicable one. I don't think he particularly liked it as apparently he couldn't play his own instruments while recording it. His last few albums that he has released independently have done OK. He has branched out into musical theatre though and that's been quite a success for him.

I don't know what they were thinking with Joe's first album - it was just littered with cheesy pop songs. I get that they tried to turn him into some kind of teen pop star but not everyone is cut out for that, even if he is/was a young guy. His strength has always been his voice and that's why the ballads have been his strength.

Is Matt Terry really releasing a song with Enrique Iglesias? Interested to see how that does.

He's going to be featured on a remix of Enrique's big world hit "Subeme La Radio" alongside Sean Paul.

JLS and Leona as well. I think that's it.

I'm fairly sure Leona only had 3 top 10 albums but 5 top 20

Oh yes, you're right. I thought I remembered her last album scraping the top 10 but it was actually only #12.

I wonder what the drop next week will be for The Vamps? I'm not sure it will do a 'Bionic' but the sales decline will be rather amusing.

I doubt they'll care tbh - as they haven't had a number 1 anything to get it when they seem to be in decline anyway and at their least likely time would probably make up for any drop

good to see Dua Lipa top 40 in the mids, she's set up for a big hit with this.

Instruction back on the up is also good to see.

So pleased to see The Vamps at #1 as they are so underrated IMO.

I know there has been multiple formats and multi buying etc., (No different from most boy band strategies) but I'm shocked they have managed to shift so many copies especially as 'All Night' missed the Top 20 even though it stayed around for a while and 'Midde Of The Night' missed the Top 40. Hoping the fact that the album is only £6.99 might prevent them from slumping too hard next week.

Just realised Dua has crept into the Top 40 :cheer: Hopefully this will smash and give a boost to her album
amazing that Vamps are gonna sell more than Calvin Harris, Haim, Katy Perry, Lorde, Dua Lipa in week 1

The Vamps have only managed just over 2,300 sales since the previous update.

Looks likely The Script will miss out on a Top 20 placement.
