Hi all!

 

The NOW series was really successful in the 00s with Now 45 kicking things off in 2000 and Now 74 ending 2009. But which ones were you favourites? I’m probably going to make a lot of picks here because it’s so hard to decide! I’ll start with this though:

 

 

 

Summer 2006 was a great time for me. I loved that disc 1 so much. It’s also Pink’s debut on a Now with one of my favourite songs of hers so of course, I love it!

my first NOW CD was Now 50 which, looking back, has such a weird mix of songs considering Track 4 of Disc 1 is BOB THE BUILDER

 

I then started properly with Now 56 which again, reviewing the tracklist, actually has a warm place in my heart

 

 

Now 61 is also a fave:

 

 

It's weird because I was OBSESSED with them from Now 56-Now 64 (including being obsessed with 64) and then I just randomly stopped getting them until Now 72 which also deserves a shoutout

 

 

I went back and picked up the ones I missed out on later though

Now 61 is also a fave! I got that early because I was in Ireland at the time of release and they always got theirs on the Friday even back then!

 

Now 49 is another fave.

 

 

The only Now with Dido *.* and such amazing memories of Summer 2001. I’d love to be 12 again. Also I got this on the first day of release so my copy has the expletive in the Blink 182 track that caused them to redistribute it!

 

NOW 69 was the first one I ever owned but I think NOW 70 just topped it for me! So much good music back then, and of course both had Basshunter on who I was obsessed with for a short amount of time :P

Now 68 was the only one I really collected!

 

Always preferred CD 2 on the whole. Worried About Ray. What a time to be alive. :wub:

Now 49 is my fave Now album ever. Such a great period of music - the dance on CD2 and the pop followed by Zero 7 and Radiohead on CD1.

Now 49 houses my favourite song of all-time :cheeseblock: love that edition in general though! Now 66 is probably my favourite from the 2000s.

Now 68 encapsulates my first term at uni! Memories!

Now 69 because I think its the first now I have alphabetically haha

Probably my favourite would be now 52 for those great dance hits from track 9 to track 21

 

 

 

You don’t like the S Club songs either side? :lol:

 

Actually I remember getting Now 52 (the first Now I ever got from Amazon!) and I’m sure the track list on line didn’t include You by S Club 7 and when my CD arrived I was surprised to see it tacked on to the end of CD1! No one on the old Now forum could remember this so I used to think I was going mad!

I've actually own few of these when I was employed in Afghanistan and Dubai!!!

 

Now 68 and Now 70!!!

I actually own quite a few of the NOWs in the 30s/40s thanks to charity shops :o I actually deliberately collected them for a few years before I got sick of the new ones being too expensive :P

This thread takes me back to doing the Now rates a few years ago. Would love to re-do them one day.

 

I'll put my favourite for each of the years as it's really hard to pick a favourite for the decade, and I'll put my favourite track from each volume too.

2009 - Now 73 - Calvin Harris - I'm Not Alone

I don’t think I have a favourite from this decade, but I liked 2007-2008 in the series, in particular Now 69.

I've been playing Now 49 for the past two days and it's up there with the best NOWS for me as well.

 

NOW! 41, 43, 62 & 65 also are my picks but then again I dont own more than 8 or 9 lol. Will have to get a few more somewhen.
