Biography

As a member of the British boy band One Direction, Harry Styles topped the charts, toured the world, and sold millions of albums before going solo in 2016. Reflecting the influence of childhood favorites Queen, Elton John, and the Beatles, Styles' solo material took a more serious and rock-based approach, while still delivering the pop sound his faithful fans desired. His self-titled album debut appeared in 2017 and debuted at the top of the U.S. album charts. Later that year, he made his movie debut in the Oscar-winning epic Dunkirk, which topped American box offices, making Styles the first British artist to secure a number one debut single, album, and film in the same year. His sophomore album Fine Line arrived in 2019. - iTunes

Their last three singles went top 20, two of them being top ten...

Yes I do know but the success although still really good isn't on the same level as the first two eras, no? Bar Dancing With A Stranger

Did Enter Shikari ever had a top 75 hit?

First time Falling's been ahead of Adore You! :cheer:

And for my usual stats update, Adore You now ties What Makes You Beautiful's total top 40 weeks to have the joint most of ANY 1D related release.

Their last three singles went top 20, two of them being top ten...
I was about to say “didn’t The Thrill Of It All era only produce one huge hit (Too Good At Goodbyes)?” The current Sam era is definitely more successful :P
Did Enter Shikari ever had a top 75 hit?

They had two top 40 hits (Anything Can Happen In The Next Half Hour in 2007 and Juggernauts in 2009)

You Taught Me What Love Is

I'm gonna get lynched but stuff like this is so contrived for good publicity and better chance of having a hit single. The only reason this is even charting is because it's dedicated to NHS and it made an "emotional TV moment". She's smart, I'll give her that. Unfortunately nobody would have given a f*** about her or her music otherwise. Let's be real.

Indie is my main genre but I absolutely cannot stand Gerry Cinnamon  It's just bringing back 2007 landfill indie that killed it's popularity in the first place! Makes it worse that they stopped Enter Shikari having a #1 album :(
ALBUMS

1 Gerry Cinnamon - The Bonny

2 Enter Shikari - Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible

3 Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia

4 Lewis Capaldi - Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent

5 Harry Styles - Fine Line

King Gerry getting that #1 album and Top 40 single.

And Harry spending his 19th consecutive week in the Top 10 - when will your ex boyband faves :cheeseblock:

I thought Sam Smith crying outside his mansion would have boosted this more than it has done.

It was a joke...y’all take everything so seriously.

First time listening to Falling since I spammed his album and I’m finding it a bit boring, knowing me it will probably grow on me a ton like Perfect did

They have had 6 Top 75 hits, last one was in 2011.

That could be said for so many songs/artists/hits over the years though? Amazing marketing will always win.

Well yes, of course. The only reason any of these charity singles are charting is because they're dedicated to the NHS.... And I mean, BGT is a pretty major promotional platform, it's getting its highest ratings in a few years thanks to the pandemic
