Bio queens?!?! :o

This episode was so joyous! I had some reservations on cis women being the makeover subjects, drag is for eveyone and women belong in drag but I was worried that it kind of symbolised the way that the show has moved towards that audience and away from what it used to be. But all of the women were incredible, with stories to tell and love to share. Opal Methyd has my heart, that lipsync of hers was better than half the queen who ended up in the bottom 2 this season :lol:

 

CRYSTAL f***ING METHYD THOUGH!!! As if she came out with her drag daughter in a makeover challenge as a lesbian Bert and Ernie, could not love her more. I'm so sad she didn't win because she's what drag is all about, she tears up the rulebook and throws it away and is just totally her, that pure soul you see in the work room and her confessionals and all that kooky spirit always bleeds through, she's totally different in drag yet totally herself. Jaida did absolutely smash it though, can't deny her a win so I won't say Crystal is "robbed", the transformation on Bethany was stunning and the fact she made the outfits!! Her talents know no end.

 

Gigi's look was really boring this week, I actually think I preferred Jackie's tbh. Gigi is just really coasting and I feel like she thinks she's already won or something because she's really not trying, that was the most standard and easy Gigi look she could have done! Sure there was a definite family resemblence there, but I think it was simple to the point of bordering of lazy.

 

That lipsync was incredible too, definitely a deserved double shantay and that just rounded off a joyous episode in the best way.

I like Jackie, especially her personality but I am always so frustrated with the basic looks. It does feel like the top 4 is locked in (Gigi, Sherry, Jada and Crystal). I wonder if they will replace Sherry in the final with whoever comes 5th

 

The lip sync was good and based on that alone both deserved to stay - however neither is going to win.

Usually I find the makeovers hit and miss but I think this was my favourite too! This season has been so good nearly every week tho

I'm genuinely surprised Crystal didn't win this one, it seemed like her time to finally get a win. Not only was her look genius, transformative and fun — Opal Methyd also killed that lip-sync.

 

Jaida was fantastic as well!

She’s deserved it a few times but this week I actually thought she’d get it 😭

Her and Opal were incredible.

 

Was so pleased Heidi didn’t go this week. It’s got to be her and Jackie going in the next two weeks but I really want her to make top 4. Hopefully she’ll replace Sherry if she doesn’t quite make it.

This was SUCH a good episode, maybe my favourite this season! The superfans were all iconic, I was living for Crystal's girl and Lil Snackie Cox :D and Heidi's girl was heartwarming. Shame that Janet the Planet (I can't get over her changing her legal name to that!) was lumbered with Allison Mossey >_<

 

Absolutely thrilled that the judging pretty directly mapped up to exactly what I thought too. I think Jaida edged this win over Crystal by those gorgeous outfits that she MADE HERSELF and presumably tailored to perfect fit on the spot, and the way she mastered that makeup and hair despite her girl being a completely different skintone. Absolute transformation from how she looked out of drag too.

 

Heidi's makeup was actually really good! Just...only on her girl. Her own was Not It and she really missed a trick not doing the gap. I actually thought Jackie's makeup on herself was quite bad this week too, surprisingly! Hard to call who I would put bottom of the two.

 

Daisy's comments on Gigi were fair and refreshing to not have a guest judge be up her ass for once. Yes, she is talented, but it feels like she's been going backwards these last few weeks and literally all she did this week was put the girl in an outfit she'd brought from home that she had had made for her. Not rocket science.

 

Crystal was a breath of fresh air as usual! The only dark point was once again Miss Pie poking her nose in here and there and I swear she had an evil look in her eye when she was working with her girl. Seeing two of them on the runway was also quite disturbing and, idk if its intended but her drag actually comes off as clowny and disturbing, It Part 3! She did imo deserve High this week for family resemblance but I was fearing she'd win tbh. The looks were horrible though, even if well executed, and I would like to see her critiqued for that eventually.

 

Only thing is I'm a little nervous for Crystal next week as its a comedy challenge - Heidi should eat this up after being saved and Allison and Gigi will probably do well, and Jaida won the last comedy challenge.

I honestly loved this episode, and echo what people said about this maybe being the best so far this season! Lil Snackie Cox was the cutest wee thing ever!!

 

I'm sad that Crystal didn't win this challenge in all honesty, her look was just batshit crazy but I do think Jaida also deserved it so I can't be too mad! Heidi's superfan makeover was definiely the moist lackluster but I do also think she had the most difficult job.

 

Yeah this was a fantastic episode, really fun and a joy to watch! All the super fans were great, and the transformations in some were incredible!

 

I was really rooting for Crystal to finally get a win because her and Opal together on that runway was just so amazing to see - completely crazy but it absolutely worked and was true to who Crystal is 110%.

 

As for Jackie... yeah she was good in the lip sync, but I was really hoping she'd finally be gone. Starting to worry for Heidi now too though as it seems like her and Jackie are definitely gone in the next couple of episodes. I was living for Daisy's comments about Gigi too, finally somebody on the panel not just pandering to a pretty look. Hopefully Michelle wisening up to it means the win is less clear cut now too.

Again a top quality episode! Having just finished watching season 4 for the first time so having their makeover challenge fresh in my mind (Sharon's guy starting on Chad was super uncomfortable in their safe space) this was brilliant progression for the show! I didn't have a problem with the makeovers being done to women for the first time as they all had a transformation and were majority were very much drag rather than pretty girl (cough Gigi cough). Plus they were all completely smitten to be there!

 

Genuinely thought this was Crystal's to win based on trajectory so far and probably my favourite look of hers so far. Love how versatile she can be and the inspo was totally out of the box! Definitely can't begrudge Jaida this win as it showcased her makeup skills and ability to make costumes too! Bethany was definitely more drag queen than 'fish'.

 

I think Heidi was quite lucky in this challenge to get saved by a third lipsync - she's having a Kameron Michaels run but showing more personality to make her memorable. She was definitely the worst this week and I thought it might've been her time to go, she's a good presence but not a winner. It was a good lipsync but I'm not 100 on the point of it? Previously it's been to save two queens who could've gone before their time, whereas here I feel this was the weakest pair across the board? Her and Jackie should be the next two to go imo.

 

Sherry had a good week and I could hardly tell her apart from her makeover - so the best for drag family resemblance. Although the dress/hair/makeup is pretty similar to that cherry pie/pizza one she entered the workroom in. Nothing I hadn't seen before but she's done well! Not sure what's happening to Gigi, she's completely flatlined the last three weeks and that not taking into consideration the tighter competition. She was passable this week but once again she was the third worst. Doesn't hold a candle to some of the past runways she's had.

This was definitely one of the most enjoyable makeover episodes, partly thanks to the queens strong performances and partly due to a wonderful cast of women

 

It really was a toss up for me between Jaida and Crystal for the win, Crystal was much more creative but had a couple issues, like the back of the necks not being painted, but Jaida was a little more basic but extremely polished. I would've liked Crytsal to win as I feel like she won't win any challenges now and she's come so close 4 times! Sherry had the best family resemblance for sure but her partner had the worst lip-sync (which I'm not sure actually counted for anything)

 

Whilst I don't think it was undeserved, I am slightly confused as to why they saved Jackie too this week. Usually when its a double shantay its because they want both the queens to go quite a lot further (DeLa saved in S6, Kameron/Eureka in S10 and Yvie/Brooke in S11), but I just don't feel like Jackie will make top 4 and she seems like the next obvious elimination anyway, and it wasn't exactly a Yvie/Brooke level incredible lip-sync. I have a feeling it'll be her and Crystal that don't make the final 4 now sadly

Both stayed this week because it was an incredible lip sync plus it’s because there were super fans involved. Mostly because of the former however.

Crystal should've won - it was just so different! Jaida was really good though; i guess i'm just bias as I want Crystal to win :D

 

Gigi's was just basic, but I think the bottom 2 was right... I like Heidi and Jackie... but Jackie completely slayed Heidi.

 

I'm not unhappy about both staying, but really it was obvious Jackie was better. But meh its fine! I can see Jackie being out next anyway really

Jaida has a better track record now actually- as Jaida’s never placed low whereas Gigi has 3 times in a row now

I really thought Crystal was going to win but Jaida/Crystal were the clear top two!

 

Hate episodes where two stay unless it's absolutely nail-biting, but I think Jackie was the weaker performer and should've been sent home. It just drags the competition on for longer than it needs to be. It's not like her lip-sync was on par with Heidi, despite being the best lip-sync of the season so far.
