Taylor Swift is #1 in the albums with a 11k lead, Ariana is #2 thanks to its vinyl! :o

Taylor vinyls on August are gonna be massive, with cassettes also. Queen anyway.

OCC has updated- neither of the Dave tracks are currently in the top 100. Were they released too late or something?

Yes, they only dropped late on Saturday evening so the current midweek update only reflects the first few hours of its streams on most platforms.

I see Tom Odell’s another love is showing in the mids. Any reason why? Would prefer if it were Monster v.2 which is fast becoming my fave release of his.
Two DMX albums in the top 10 :o Even with low sales I wasn't expecting his streams to have that much of an effect.

Singles bonus: 41-100

Let's hope Ella & Tom can actually hold on to the top ten this week!

Shocked Y&Y aren't on course to debut top 40 given how well received it's been :o

Edited by Mangø

I hope "Anywhere Away From Here" can hold on to a top 40 place by the end of the week. #16 in today's midweeks and will likely fall as the week goes on. It's doing really well on iTunes/Apple music but its spotify numbers are really low - I hope it can get playlist support there and rise!

The top 20 mark for Q1 on YTD albums was 35k, last year (mostly pre-covid) it was 39k - so it's not that bad. It's just that there haven't been any really interesting new releases out there, that had urged people both to buy AND stream.

I'm talking about the entire market as a whole. Only looking at the top 20 is a rather narrow view. Last year physical album sales were ~450-500k a week in quarter one. This year they have been 250-350k a week. They generate more money than passive streams do and are quite important for smaller acts. Fingers crossed we'll see a nice bump in sales over the next few weeks.

Fearless' sales are nearly identical to evermore's at this point (the former did about 250 copies more on the Monday midweek update than the latter). The latter opened with 27.5k, Fearless will def be more front loaded but hoping it could maybe sneak past 25k?

DMX having two different compilations in the top 10 seems quite strange (I checked to see if it's just because they have different tracklists but all of his most popular songs seem to be on both of them). Unless they're somehow both selling decently on pure sales or something. Guess we'll see if one of them disappears by the end of the week...

Great to see 'X Gon' Give It To Ya' in the top 50 and 'Ruff Ryders' Anthem' in the top 100 for now anyway, expecting the latter to drop out but it would be great if it managed to hold on as it has never charted before!

What on Earth is a Silky xx

Twenty-one Pilots at #51

Years & Years at #52

Guessing both would have probably been midweek Top 40 without the Wednesday/Thursday releases?

A dance-rapper, he's no Bad Boy Chiller Crew xx

(also had a song with Tom Zanetti last year)

Y&Y have zero support on Spotify so far, so it's not gonna be a hit unless that improves

no matter how well received it's been or how many ads you've seen

Too bad Pink/Rag are down so low already, don't think Ella/Tom have a chance for t10 either consider the 2 Dave tracks are coming

Ugh Rag and Boneman/Pink falling fast, prob won’t be top 40 on Friday albeit there are loads of unstable new entries in the top 40!
I hope way too long can hold on for a top 40 debut it’s definitely growing on me. Unsure it will though as it’s doing pretty poorly on Apple and Spotify.

It's #37 on Apple which is pretty good! It's just had little Spotify support so far

I don't think it's likely that Rag'n'Bone Man would fall from #16 today to out of the top 40 entirely? It is still #1 on iTunes and top 40 on Apple Music, I can't see it falling much lower than the mid 20s or so.

Sounds like a good thing to me x

(actually I do vaguely remember that Tom Zanetti collab now you mention it)

That’s really good as it was at #88 on Apple when I checked this morning lol. Yeah hopefully it will get more Spotify support as time goes on.
