December 6, 20214 yr George Ezra and Olivia Dean are already down to #10 and #27 respectively. First Look is really worthless at this time of year (even moreso than it always is). Mud and Jona Lewie do seem to be doing better this year than last, against the trend of (I think) most of the other Christmas songs. Must have better playlisting this year. Would be happy to see both of them making the top 40 this year - Mud did manage a top 40 re-entry a couple of years ago, but Jona hasn't made the top 40 since the song's original chart run! Britney hasn't made the top 100 before so she might be benefiting from being in the news again recently. Good to see The Pogues are staying ahead of Shakin' Stevens in today's update, hope they will hang onto their status as the third highest Christmas classic and manage a top 5 peak again this year. Anyway, this week's edition of 'OCC making up rules as they go along', they seem to be counting Polo G's deluxe album as a separate chart entry to the original album. I would say it might be because it's basically a new album with the previous album tagged on to the end of it, but then that was exactly the case for Lil Uzi Vert's 'Eternal Atake' / 'LUV Vs. The World 2' as well and they were counted as a single chart entity. So it's either an inconsistency or they made a quiet rule change at some point. (I guess this Polo G release is very slightly different in that it's not explicitly tagged as a deluxe version on streaming services in the way the Uzi one was but that's really splitting hairs)

December 6, 20214 yr See some have mentioned Alexa and Amazon and yup they have the 3 month free thing but also if you only play music via you're alexa it's only £4 per month, so I suspect a lot of people will be taking that up as well, in fact I just put the Ed/Elton song on my Alexa
