January 20, 20223 yr I knew the writing was on the wall for Navid when he sat in the far left hand corner of the screen in the final boardroom, if you watch it back you'll see at the end of last week's episode when they were previewing tonight's episode Lord Sugar pointed to the left hand corner of the screen. One of the project managers could be in big trouble next week as he pointed to the middle in the new preview. It's clear Sophie just wanted to protect the women from getting fired as Amy definitely should have been one of the people to get brought back in the boardroom. I doubt she'll last much longer in the process. Nick is becoming more and more cocky as each week passes!
January 21, 20223 yr I did think Nick’s team would win just because at least there was a clear vision whereas the other product was confused. I’m not sure why the main and sub teams don’t interact more. Obviously they aren’t allowed to instant message etc. but you’d have thought they’d be on the phone with updates at least every hour or so to avoid the brand and product mismatch which seems to happen all the time. I do think Lord Sugar made the right decision this week, whereas I’ve not been convinced he has the other weeks. (Of course he probably takes the business plans into account too while making it sound like it’s all about performance on the task.)
January 21, 20223 yr I liked last night's episode... - Nick was much more in control, but also much more of a d!ck than I expected him to be. Still, he had his idea and led his team to victory. Though he was very unexcited when he won. - Crafted and Spiced looked like a Christmas drink to me. - The packaging for Vodify was really good and contemporary, but that wasn't mentioned in the boardroom. As someone else said, why only focus on the negatives? - When they call each other, what is so important that they "have to go now" and the hang up before the other team can finish what they're saying. Again, as has been mentioned... just give yourself a bit longer on the phone to talk? I think the right person was fired... though Amy should have been taken back into the boardroom. Her idea for the packaging for C&S and it was knocked throughout, and she didn't sell anything. PM was obviously protecting the girls and throwing the guys under the bus.
January 23, 20223 yr I think ultimately the right choice was made this week for the first time this year. For three weeks he’s done nothing and offered nothing. He’s no loss
January 27, 20223 yr That was sadly the correct choice this week. I do think the candidate had potential but it would have been very difficult to say anyone else was really at fault
January 28, 20223 yr I felt really bad for Alex, it just wasn't the right task for him and there wasn't really anything else he could do about it. The 'worst failure in the boardroom ever' bit was definitely unfair though - I wouldn't even say it was in the bottom half! I also think Amy definitely had a point when Lord Sugar complained about her wanting a go at selling (she mentioned the fact that she was criticised for not selling anything in the alcoholic drinks task) - it was something I was thinking myself.
January 28, 20223 yr I mean yeah he didn't suit being PM, but he still took it, and pretty much every stage of that task was a disaster, couldn't have been anyone else. The men are utterly terrible this year, I'd be shocked if it's not a female winner. Harpreet and Francesca are standing out a lot.
January 29, 20223 yr How. The. f***. Is. He. Still. Here?!?!?!?!?! One of the worst candidates I’ve ever seen and he’s f***ing Teflon. Understand Alex going but should have been both blokes gone
February 3, 20223 yr I was really surprised by that firing as overall Francesca seemed a really strong candidate. Yes the “Artic” thing was dreadful but she was open about spelling not being her strong point and the others didn’t intervene while she had most of the ideas. Ultimately nobody wants a game that preaches at you and that was the bigger problem.
February 4, 20223 yr I was really surprised by that firing as overall Francesca seemed a really strong candidate. Yes the “Artic” thing was dreadful but she was open about spelling not being her strong point and the others didn’t intervene while she had most of the ideas. Ultimately nobody wants a game that preaches at you and that was the bigger problem. I was a bit shocked at that too but it was a terrible error. I can only assume the PM of the task has a really good business plan as she was absolutely hopeless.
February 4, 20223 yr I thought it was the right firing tbh, think the idea of the game itself could've been okay if the spelling error didn't make them a total laughing stock from the get go, it's not exactly a complicated word.
February 4, 20223 yr Oops I thought Francesca had been quite a standout candidate so far in a positive way but yeah, 'artic' was the most memorable misfire since that wave logo :kink: Kathryn is probably the person I'm warming towards the most at the moment
February 4, 20223 yr That episode was hilarious... when one of them forgot their point in the pitch too. You couldn't write it.
February 4, 20223 yr I have to say I thought it was the right firing too. I know it's very well edited, but it highlighted just how much she dismissed the other girl in the sub-team and every suggestion she put forward. She didn't even consider them most of the time and would just shut her down and tell people to ignore or forget what she was saying. I was thrilled when she was fired!
