Hi everyone,

 

I’m just posting to say that I’m stepping down as mod for this forum effective immediately and am going to have a break from the site for a while. I’m finding I’m not having the time to put into this forum that it deserves and I’ve been feeling the sit in general has been a toxic place for me for a number of years to the point I’m often feeling targeted and bullied. This is how I felt in my last teaching job and leaving that school earlier this year was one of the best things I ever did so I feel it’s finally time for me to let Buzzjack go.

 

Thank you all for your support and look after yourselves and keep the best decade going! I’d like to say I’ll see you all again soon but I can’t make any promises.

I am sorry to hear this Toby, you know you have been an essential part of this site for me for a while so I will miss your presence on the board but I understand why you need to take a step back.

 

No taking a break from our group chat tho, don't make me come to wales boy!

Thanks for the contributions in here and in the Pink forum T Boy. Much appreciated. Hope the break (or if it's permanent) helps. Maybe someone can take over the Survivor's?

Really sorry to hear this, Toby. You're a fantastic poster, you'll be very much missed. I've always enjoyed your contributions on here. Take care of yourself.

This is a shame - however I'd be lying if I said I hadn't noticed that you've seemed to find yourself in situations on the board that have appeared to leave you feeling unhappy and wound up, so in that sense I do think it's sensible to look after yourself and take whatever break you need.

 

Thanks for everything you've done for the board across many mod roles and your active participation in so many events over the years.

 

I think your input on this site comes with gravitas especially during debates on the site. I have enjoyed reading your posts and you will be missed on the site. I hope you will be back here again eventually.

Also sorry to hear this Toby but mental health must come first. I've certainly enjoyed your contributions over the years and hope one day there's a way back here for you in a way that works for you, but if not, do take care.

Sorry that I failed you as a co-mod of this forum, I wish I could have done more together. I hope there’s no hard feeling between us.

Sorry you’re leaving Toby - the survivors in particular have been really great and well run!

Sorry to hear that you think that in some way this forum has contributed negatively towards your mental health.

Sad to see this, but I hope you find the break away healing.
