Nice for Sam Ryder! One of the most consistent No.1 albums of recent times. I know there's no competition and sales are in the gutter but still.

 

We were spoilt last year with Adele, Ed and ABBA (plus Coldplay and Taylor's Red TV) all releasing within weeks of each other.

Surely they're gonna phone Desperate Debbie Ed Sheeran? He is OBSESSED with the Spice Girls' xmas no.1s and OBSRSSED with being thr biggest chart force ever with thr most no.1s, even with fake salss of cheesy shite. He would RUN and FLEE to the recording studio faster than a gammon to a Daily Mail srticle about Brexshit to get even a SNIFF of another no.1 at Xmas. He did it last year!

Not sure why the snark towards Ed Sheeran, when Elton John was the one who contacted him to record a xmas song together, and ladbaby contacted Ed mid 2021 about a collaboration, so they gave him their xmas song to parody. nothing was done last minute just to chase a xmas #1. Ed and Elton could have just released 'Merry Christmas' xmas week to get #1, as it did spend 3 weeks at #1 December 2021, plus the proceeds were going toward Elton's AIDS foundation and Ed's music foundation.

Ed has been on a social media break for 7 weeks and won't be back until 2023, hasn't even mentioned ladbaby's new song, so can't see him running to the studio to record a remix of it, and Elton hasn't promoted 'Merry Christmas' this year either to help it chart higher but it's still in UK Top 5 without remixes.

Elton also contacted Ed last year when he was #1 to say he was coming for Ed's #1 spot, and then released signed single CDs, so seems Elton is just as keen as other artists for a #1 song

Good to see Sam Ryder not plummeting, Taylor looks fairly safe to hold number 1 album unless a surge comes for Cliff Richard this week. I think Ladbaby will hold number 1 but i live in hope Mariah or Wham can take it in the end.

are you being fr? they deserve to be public enemies #1 (well mark defo, i like roxy plus she seems to care much less than mark in the begging videos so maybe not her) with their fake ass "charity". they dont give a f*** about charity the only thing they care about is the ego boost, fame and money they get from it

It would be only the third Christmas themed album to be #1 at Christmas too, after Now in 1985 and Buble in 2011.

I think Cliff could actually take it. He has loads of tv and radio appearances coming up this week.

 

Was hoping Christmas Drilling would be higher, but I suppose top 40 is a win. Rooting for Wham or Mariah.
