Thanks to the 43 people who participated in last week's poll :jump:

Official results from week 14:

[ 15 ] Tyler, The Creator - DOGTOOTH (#39)

[ 14 ] Tyler, The Creator - SORRY NOT SORRY (#63)

[ 10 ] Maisie Peters - Lost The Breakup (#92)

[ 9 ] Melanie Martinez - VOID (#44)

[ 9 ] Davido - UNAVAILABLE (feat. Musa Keys) (#60)

[ 9 ] ANOTR and Abel Balder - Relax My Eyes (#83)

[ 8 ] JISOO - FLOWER (#38)

[ 6 ] Cat Burns - live more & love more (#95)

[ 5 ] Cian Ducrot - Part Of Me (#87)

[ 5 ] NLE Choppa - SLUT ME OUT (#100)

BuzzJack's favourite top 100 hit for 2023 week 14 and auto-qualifying for the April monthly round is Tyler, The Creator - DOGTOOTH.

A week after Lana took advantage of a low scoring week to monopolise the top 2 of the week for herself, we have an even more extreme repeat of that as American rapper, former Odd Future edgelord Tyler, The Creator benefits from a week devoid of any major BuzzJack faves to come both 1st and 2nd with songs from the newly released 'Estate Sale' deluxe edition of his 2021 album 'CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST'. 'DOGTOOTH' was released as a single a few days ahead of the rest of the new tracks dropping and just about managed to give him his 4th top 40 hit in its first full week of availability. It takes the win here with just 15 votes (barely over a third of voters), 1 vote ahead of his other charting deluxe track 'SORRY NOT SORRY', the album closer which has also been given a music video. Both songs are bangers imo - as is most of what he drops - so I'm glad the luck of the draw gave them the opportunity to do so well here ('DOGTOOTH' becoming the first outright hip-hop song to win one of these polls, though 'Rumble' also featured prominent rap vocals), although I'm pleasantly surprised they got this many votes even with the lack of competition. Could see 'DOGTOOTH' now becoming the first song to make it to a monthly round due to its autoqualifier status while not actually being in the top 10 of the month.

Maisie Peters has the only other song to (just about) reach double figures, coming in 3rd place with this new track that's returned her to her comfortable place in the 41-100 section after 'Body Better' failed to chart at all despite being the only one of her recent singles that's actually somewhat listenable. Everything managed to get to at least 5 votes again with the joint least most popular songs being peak radio filler from Cian Ducrot and peak radio kryptonite from NLE Choppa. Perfectly balanced as all things should be.

9 new entries this week, although we have another one where I've included 2 versions as both appear to be popular in their own right (the Kanii (who?) track - the PR1SVX Edit is the one that seems to be getting the most streams but the original version is also in the Spotify viral chart and has a similar lifetime stream total to that remix). Still all adds up to a mere 28 minutes and 25 seconds, with the majority of the tracks this week being sub 3 minutes including Jack Black's being just 1:35 (I didn't realise until just now how short that is!)

Vote for as many or as few songs as you want and would be ideal if you can make sure you've heard all the songs before voting if possible!

You have until Saturday evening :jump: shall post the results of the March monthly round alongside the next weekly poll, hopefully all back up to date after that.

Peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches, peaches

PEACHES, PEACHES, PEAAAAACHHH

nothing else this week can touch that tbh

Drake - Search & Rescue (#5) - didn't think much of this on first listen but now listening again it's pretty decent, I weirdly like the spoken parts

David Guetta, Anne-Marie and Coi Leray - Baby Don't Hurt Me (#26) - not as offensive as it could have been but no one needs this, the rap is shite too

Labrinth - Never Felt So Alone (#43) - wow so close to a first solo top 40 since 2015! a highly unusual song structure, could be a grower but for now it's a no

Jack Black - Peaches (#47) - I was waiting for the Mario movie onslaught, this would be a hilarious top 40 addition - thumbs up

NF - HAPPY (#51) - the first of the 3 of his in these I didn't like, this just sounds like a boring tom grennan song

Kanii - I Know (PR1SVX Edit / original) (#64) - liking the sound of this one, original & remix

Sidhu Moose Wala, Burna Boy and Steel Banglez - Mera Na (#87) - yes to more desi-rap in the charts, also had no idea was murdered last year! RIP :(

Jonas Brothers - Waffle House (#89) - typical catchy bop from them

TECH IT DEEP - Maria Maria (#92) - that beat is filthy  this is brilliant (and I was never a huge fan of the original)

Voted Drake, Jack, Kanii, Sidhu, Jonas & TID. What a great week, best so far!

Guetta currently leading the poll despite no comments saying they've voted for him :suspic:

'Peaches' is fun, even if it will probably start to grate quick if it hangs around. You know it's a bad week when NF is landing in the top 2! It feels a bit Dermot Kennedy-ish but I think the contrast compared to just how bad his last hit a few weeks ago was is making me like this more. Burna Boy kinda saved 'Mera Na' from being a complete non-event. 'Search & Destroy' is Drake at his most dull. 'I Know' isn't great but it's production is a bit more interesting which puts it above Drake.

I've voted for Jack Black but I honestly could have just null-voted this week unfortunately.

I went for Jack Black, Jo Bro, Tech It Deep and NF - the first track of his that has charted this year I like. The David Guetta song just feels lazy and unnecessary.

Voted for Bowser and Kanii. NF was surprisingly less late-2010s cringe than usual, Baby Don't Hurt Me is unnecessary but the original being decent means it's still somewhat fun, and then Jonas Brothers/Drake are both very beige efforts.

9. Drake - Search & Rescue

If David Guetta destroying another 90s dance classic for a quick buck wins in a week where we have genius from Jack Black and high points from Labrinth and even NF, then I give up on this forum 😅
