Posted June 29, 20231 yr Taylor Swift is releasing a re-recording of her third studio album on 7/7. Midnights, Taylor's latest studio album, opened with 204,000 units, whereas Red (Taylor's Version) opened with 72,000 units. How many units do you think Speak Now (Taylor's Version) will sell in its first week? Vote now and reply with your prediction. :cheer:
June 29, 20231 yr Really have no idea tbh. Logic should dictate it will probably not do as well as Red TV as the original album was less popular but then she is just absolutely dominant right now to an even greater extent than she was when that came out. I'll have a stab at 61-70k but it would not shock me at all if it was a fair bit higher than that.
June 29, 20231 yr since there is no signed stuff, not a lot of variants and bundles I think 30-50K Edited June 29, 20231 yr by Bjork
June 29, 20231 yr since there is no signed stuff, only 1 vinyl version I think 30-50K theres 3 vinyls (though i think 2 of them were only available for a short smount of time, not sure though) edit: just checked there are 3 vinyl variants, the orchid one, violet one and lilac one. all are available on her uk store and each one is a 3lp set https://storeuk.taylorswift.com/
June 29, 20231 yr i know the us is much bigger than the uk, but a few weeks ago it was reported than sntv already had 250k pre-orders there... so i think its gonna be a pretty big album. i went for 51-60k but i think it could possibly get even more
June 29, 20231 yr I put 41-50k but I wouldn't be that shocked at anything between half or double that.
June 29, 20231 yr 41k-50k It’s gonna be a big debut but it won’t be as big as Red (TV) unless she drops some surprise signed ones at some point from now to release week (even then I’m not sure she’d manage to hit Red’s numbers. I am greatful that this will finally get the peak it deserves though. Such a stellar album.
June 29, 20231 yr Gone for 31 - 40k it has vinyls (first week) which FearlessTV didn't have so I see it doing better than that , it wasn't as popular as Red first time so expecting lower but Taylors just everywhere atm so could go bigger
June 29, 20231 yr More than 100k if she deploys signed CDs on release week The buzz around her/The Eras tour right now is crazy, Midnights sold 200k+ and Red (TV) did even better than Fearless (TV) so there could be more room to grow
June 29, 20231 yr I was expecting 100,000 for Midnights and it did 200,000, so I'm going to have lofty expectations and say that it will debut with upwards of 100,000 units.
June 29, 20231 yr Taylor could probably sell ice to the Eskimos at this point so I've gone for 100k, although logic suggests it should be more on a par with what Fearless (TV) opened with.
June 29, 20231 yr Red is her best album, qhich is why it did so well. The rest won't do those numbers. I went for the second option.
