I’m not sure if we’d count Gina G as her song was number 1 both pre and post Eurovision.

 

Not putting down Sam’s achievement - it’s brilliant. It’s more a case that I’m just trying to bring to mind whose achievements we can compare his with. British artist whose chart careers started with Eurovision but then later had at least one other top 2 single.

 

Of the above acts, Bucks Fizz are probably the only ones to fit that description in recent years.

Say what you will about its quality (I wasn't a fan of it at first either but it's grown on me a lot over the years and it's certainly a lot better than Kelly's imo x) but how is it not Christmassy?
