June 10, 20241 yr I forgot that 'Player' actually charted here. Really none of those chart entries represent her very well (admittedly don't really remember the KDA track), it is a shame that '2 On' and 'All Hands On Deck' never properly took off. Good start for Charli's album, I assume she's likely to overtake Bon Jovi but not going to hold my breath for her to fend off Taylor. Good that '360' looks set to be comfortably top 40 and also cool for now to see 'Sympathy is a knife' appearing in the midweeks although I assume 'Von dutch' will probably replace it by Friday.
June 10, 20241 yr This isn't a comment on Bon Jovi's quality of music of anything - I just didn't think they were that big or relevant enough in the UK in 2024 to even have a midweek #1. I'd have expected a top 10 at best, falling to 20 by EOW. I for one didn't even know they had an album coming out.
June 10, 20241 yr They haven't had an album miss the top 5 since 1986! (admittedly didn't expect this one to be starting the week ahead of Charli but I did think it'd be comfortably the second highest new entry)
June 10, 20241 yr Reckon the albums will go: 1. Charli - 25K 2. Bon Jovi - 23K 3. Taylor - 22K 4. Billie - 18K Will be close though Bon Jovi already at 18K which is 2K off what Billie did last week, so can’t see Billie getting better than fourth, I doubt Taylor has any physicals left to sell really bar the town buyers; so can’t see her topping her last week of 24K which was almost a third physicals. Charli’s streaming I reckon will just about overtake Bon Jovi Edited June 10, 20241 yr by BellyClarkson
June 10, 20241 yr @1800228951291576657 Are these available in the UK? Incredible. She is giving me a lot of comedy reading the replies. It says US only though so I assume she's behind Bon Jovi or Charlie over there so she is using her fans as a bank to cash in once again which I don't really care too much about the US. I would say from the other comments here I don't know what people are seeing but this is a huge gap. Taylor is not catching that gap. She got 24k last week and her streaming is down for this specific album a lot of her older hits are up. So she's almost certainly getting under 24k and Bon Jovi should easy clear 25k.
June 10, 20241 yr Wow, great sales for Charli! She’s always felt like a fanbase act, with a few exceptions. Interestingly she’s never had a certified album and she’s 6 albums in, so it’s amazing she’s managed to stay signed to a record label. Surely Brat will be her first to pass 60K.
June 10, 20241 yr the taylor cds are us exclusive, and theyre back like clockwork - every week they drop a few different ones and each has a different accoustic song    as much as i love her, its getting silly now, but at least thats one less thing to worry about when it comes to charli getting to #1 lol! really hope brat does it for her, such a fun album
June 10, 20241 yr Hope Charli's fanbase can rally for this number 1. I don't know if she's the type to go all in and try for it but I hope she does as well.
June 10, 20241 yr I hope Bon Jovi have something lined up to help sales for the rest of the week tp try and clinch the number 1. Never expected a Peggy Gou album to be top 15 as i thought it would be lucky to go low top 20, Becky Hill i didnt not expect such a big drop this week either

June 10, 20241 yr It would be amazing to see Orville Peck, the masked South African-Canadian gay country star have a UK chart hit. Anyone know how "Midnight ride" with Kylie and Diplo is at No90? I don't see much streaming for it. Could this be a surprise sleeper hit?
June 10, 20241 yr Its current position is likely mostly carried by downloads, I wouldn't expect it to hold unless it's doing well on Amazon or something (like 'Dance Alone' did).

I don't see much streaming for it. Could this be a surprise sleeper hit? It has done fairly well on downloads (reached numberv3 on iTunes) - which is also why it was in the Big Top 40 on Sunday (on Capital/Heart). It’s also just outside the top 100 on Amazon, which gets its data in earlier than most other platforms. Edited June 11, 20241 yr by GreyAsh

Most legacy acts will do 10k or so pre release these days to have a chance of midweek no1!
June 11, 20241 yr I really want Bon Jovi to get the #1 album since they haven't had a #1 since Crush in 2000. They then had the next 5 albums in a row peak at #2 (or 6 if you include their live album)!!
June 11, 20241 yr If Espresso does return to #1 this Friday, I hope that Sabrina can knock herself off the top next week
