Posted March 3Mar 3 The first concert that I ever attended was Lana Del Rey's "Paradise Tour". It was at the O2 Academy Birmingham on 12th May 2013. The moment that I remember the most was when she looked at me directly in the eyes for like two seconds. What was the first concert that you ever attended?
March 3Mar 3 Ooh nice! I'm finally seeing Lana for the first time this year after the show I was supposed to attend in 2020 was cancelled.Mine was the X Factor live tour in 2008 with my family when I was 10. This one had the finalists from 2007 so Leon, Rhydian, Same Difference etc.I've ended up seeing Rhydian twice lol as I watched a theatre production of Grease years ago and he happened to play Teen Angel in it!
March 3Mar 3 It was a concert called Music Jam at The Brighton Centre, 25 years ago this month! It was headlined by Westlife after Craig David pulled out, and I also saw Toploader, Fierce, Wamdue Project, Daphe and Celeste, Shaft and several others. I was obsessed with seeing live music from this point onwards. I remember standing up and clapping for almost every act as I was so excited (I was 12, nearly 13).https://www.theargus.co.uk/news/6795962.westlife-send-fans-wild-at-jam/
March 3Mar 3 B*Witched with tickets my parents bought me as a Christmas present. They mimed the whole thing and I came away from it feeling really disappointed 🤣
March 3Mar 3 My first concert was Blondie at Manchester Apollo in 2017. I would have been 20 at the time and I went on my own - I didn't know anyone that would want to come with me but I remember thinking to myself I didn't want that to stop me from going, especially as I thought this could be the only time I'd get to see them. They were fantastic, Debbie Harry is such an incredible frontwoman and she still had "it" even in her 70s. I was that captivated by the performance that it didn't really phase me that I was on my own. I'll always remember the way she ensured each member of the band were highlighted and praised during the show.
March 3Mar 3 Smash hits poll winners party in the armadillo in Glasgow in 2002I was excited because the Sugababes were there, my sister was excited because Busted were there. I remember my lasting impression being that Keisha and Mutya sounded just like the CD (Angels) but that Heidi was shite. Honestly an impression I still hold

They were nice and jolly, though.I remember it being the week Cheryl went to #1 with "Promise This". Edited March 3Mar 3 by DanielsAloud
March 3Mar 3 I think it was Pet Shop Boys in Leeds in 2017-ish for me - we went as a family, it was my Mum's birthday present I think. Certainly an interesting act!
March 3Mar 3 I'm not a concerts guy by any stretch, recorded music always sounds better to and I don't know enough people who are interested enough to join me at one, so for me it would be a real waste of money. The only concert I've been to is RHCP in Glasgow 2023. I did turn down a chance to go to the Hella Mega Tour in Huddersfield 2022 due to clashing with my exams sadly, I probably would've liked that one ☹️
March 3Mar 3 Girls Aloud's What Will the Neighbours Say? Tour in 2005, the only time I saw them as a five piece I have few memories of it but I remember having the best time.
March 3Mar 3 I went to see Westlife when they played Wembley Stadium in 2022. A bold choice for a first gig, and on your own.I would have preferred to not have gone on my own as I found a lot of it very intimidating. At least I have some people in my life I can ask next time.
March 3Mar 3 Radiohead in September 2000, in a giant tent near Newport. They played about as many songs from Amnesiac as from Kid A, both unreleased at that point and new to just about everyone, but my favourite moment was 'Paranoid Android' going straight into 'My Iron Lung' with Thom Yorke shouting "come on kids!" to those of us moshing.
March 4Mar 4 My first concert was NSYNC in 2001 - would've been for my 10th birthday, but I don't remember much about it!
March 4Mar 4 JLS were my first ☺️Went to see them at Hammersmith Apollo on their first tour in 2010. Filmed for their DVD that night as well so lots of great memories of that show!
March 4Mar 4 Mine was a local band called ShineMK - a religious based girl group who were local to my hometown. They appeared on Songs of Praise before disbanding. I used one of their cheesy pop songs for a competition on here last year!
March 5Mar 5 Sugababes on 18th March 2006! I was 18 years old. I would have loved to go to concerts in my childhood, but alas! The tickets were purchased in 2005 when Mutya was still in the group, but the tour ended up being with Amelle!I saw them in Liverpool with two of my cousins (who are from there). It's the only time I've actually been to a concert in Liverpool, and it was at the Philharmonic Hall. I still have rather strong memories of being there, we were pretty close to the front. I found it so exciting!
March 8Mar 8 The first of many was a not very cool Def Leppard at Wembley in April 1988. Supported by Loverboy.Followed it up with Hawkwind.
