28th is a great finish for a song that I thought would be DOA in the semis 😭 ty y'all and i'm excited to be in kluminican republic for the first time!!

Klumzee finally won. Omg, I thought the day would never come - huge congrats! Quite a big lead there too.

I did think Bronzil would edge it but second is fab after results similar to mine the last two months.

I’m pretty happy with 24th. Definitely some people I thought it would appeal that clearly it didn’t but plenty of lovely and much appreciated votes coming its way. An 18 from Skall makes the recycle worth it, glad I didn’t let down your artist <3

Aeroche third makes sense too - definitely the top three I expected just in a slightly different order.

Pleased Lookylion and Hendinia did so well, the best pop entries for me. Jessica deserved higher still but at least it was another top ten.

I'll reply to this properly tomorrow, sorry I vanished from the thread fairly early, I am becoming more and more like Math with each passing week and fell asleep for the bulk of results so decided I'd just wait until the end to catch up (minus some low effort reacts to let you know I'm still alive) ddd. But a big well done to Klum for fiiiinally getting that win, I did sense as soon as I heard this song that this might be your realest chance to date (and that was before even knowing it was Rose Gray which you're still banned for xx). Will also need to do my double checking of the scoreboard tomorrow oop so insert the usual health warning about positions potentially changing etc.

And wow me getting my first top 5 hit in over two years after being mentioned a grand total of zero times in contender discussions x (I had a quiet confidence / delusion that I'd do better than predicted again honestly, I had hopes this song might strike a similar chord to the likes of BLACKSHAPE and Sadness, which it didn't quite match but not far off - in any case I didn't want to post about it and jinx it lol). Again will go back and thank everyone properly tomorrow but thanks to NocheLuna in particular for providing my only 18 *.*

(also... the first time ever that Jadaphonia have both finished in the top 5! only the third time we've ever even both been top 10)

Well that was……. An experience 😅 tbh I didn’t think we’d be getting the new site let alone so soon so it was a bit stressful being the guinea pig, but yeah! First BJSC edition on the new site down! Thanks to everyone for all the kind words of encouragement as I was losing my mind trying to play around with all the new toys, but we persevered and got the job done! Also thanks as usual for bearing with as I pour out my hyperfixations onto another contest! What could be next? Stay tuned 🤪

Klum Rep was my favorite out of the contenders so I’m glad that they ended up getting the win (finally!) and great for Bronzil to get another medal position after an agonizing wait! I think as it played out most of the predictions were on the money, I know I certainly overpredicted mine, wow at being one of the higher placing pop entries! Thanks to everyone who helped give Debbii another top 10!

Now to brainstorm for the 100th entry, where for once, we actually have significant momentum behind us!

Oh wow, okay! From a projected 37th place, I think I’ll be MORE than happy with 8th in the final. I didn’t realise the semi was so wrong for this song but phew! Very glad to have made it back to the top 10 with this cute, glorious, glittering beauty of a song.

But of course, the real moment here, in the words of Dame Sarah Harding: IT’S ABOUT TIIIIME!!!

thank you to everyone who helped me get a niche entry (for BJSC) in the final and do comparatively well, it's always nice when BJSC's genre locks open up a bit and especially because, although I don't consider this a 'joke entry' it's definitely got more of the 'for fun' aesthetic than most of my entries. Amazing to see Chikoi The Maid top 5 though, would have never called that (completely deserves it)

Thank you everyone who voted for Falling For You and has congratulated me! I LOVE LOVE this song so much so I'm very glad it's a song I'm really behind that's finally done it! I've been competing in this contest for 14 years now which is literally half my lifetime so feels quite surreal to get a win in this contest that has provided so much entertainment, community and great music over those years! Guess I can't be the bridesmaid anymore 😄 Also special thanks to Lewis who did introduce me to this song (albeit just after one play) and thought it could be something that worked well for the contest, he is a good egg ❤️

Regarding Rose Grey-gate (LOL). It was only after confirmations closed and repeated listens that the voice was getting more and more familiar so I did twig that it could well have been Rose a few weeks ago. I do think the success of the songwriting is down to her (it really is a big pop song masquerading as a dance song) but don't think it's affected how known the song is coming into the song contest, nor was there any hype for it upon initial entry.

I really thought that Bronzil were gonna sweep this, what a perfect cross-over song! I had heard it about this time last year but didn't pay it enough attention. I'm sure a win is on the horizon for them. Also big love to Aeroche too with another great entry, Marie Davidson is a queen 🤩

I'm intending on taking up hosting next month as I loved it when I did it before (now 10 years ago )! Not sure how it'll turn out but I'll figure it out haha.

Over the moon with 4th place for 'Spring Nostalgia'! The top 10 predictions really caught me off guard as I wasn't expecting this to outperform Oklou from last month when I confirmed it, but this has finished a whole 6 places higher, wow. Maybe I should've seen it coming as 'Spring Nostalgia' is not a million miles away from Minuit Machine/Hante. sonically but there we go. I waited 8 years for a 4th place to complete my top 10 set and now I've had two in less than a year! What a great start to 2025 for Cor Lupus and Jadakissnia as we both prepare to celebrate our 100th contest next month, looking forward to it.

I count four songs that I voted for in the top 10 - Klum Rep (5), Bronzil (7), Persephonia (9) and Bøtanikkä (2). Pleased to see Bronzil achieving a new personal best as well and yay for the Jadaphonia alliance both finishing in the top 5 together for the first time! I see that all of my top 3 finished outside of the top 20 this month (Terra Avium, Neliönoir and Fljótavík) so a shame they didn't receive a bit more love, although this final was really high quality in general, my commiserations alone were the strongest I remember.

I was wondering if I might've mirrored last night's position and finished 4th in the semi for the third month in a row, but instead I was 8th, so did well to end up top 5 in the final!

Finally... thank you Cody for your hosting efforts this month! You did a great job navigating the new site.
