Listening to “Twist The Knife” as I write this, and I think it’s a pretty catchy tune. I gave it 6 points, while “Stranded” got my 13, so even though I would’ve preferred Sumner and FARC to win, I still liked it and I think it’s cool to see pop winning again. I can’t complain at all with that top 10, me being in 8th place and my 18 directly above me. Two top tens in a row for me is pretty rare, so I’m quite pleased with that as well, naturally, even though I had fewer voters than most in the top 20. It’s worth mentioning that I received four 18s (!), which is the second highest anyone got in this final (only by the winner got me beat), and I did notice that Stela Cole popped up in a lot of commiseration lists. “Stereoqueen” had some big fans, which is sweet, but it seems to have been liked by many, so I consider this entry a huge success in more ways than one. Yay! 😁I also think it’s funny how I ended up at 19th and almost DNQed in my semi. That disparity is funny, and I’ve noticed how that’s happened to me several times in the past, just the other way around with huge success in the semi and then plummeting in the final.I remember for instance being shocked to see how I won a semi final last year but having unimpressive results in the final. What was the record for that again? And there must be other kinds of records to be had here, right? Most number of huge swings/defying projections or something. In any case, thank you to everyone who voted for me, thank you to the host and graphic designer and thank you to most of you for sending songs I enjoyed 😊The differences between SF & Final are interestingOf my 3 finals I've had:1 where I scraped through the semi and then came 15th in the final2 where I dropped quite a bit from semi to final (7th to outside top 20 & 13th to 40th) Guess it depends on what is in the other semi final & also whether your song grows on repeat listens

Then the biggest gain I can think of is Jupiterdonia just scraping through a semi with Inna then coming 6th but I'm pretty sure someone beat that more recently.
March 31Mar 31 Thanks everyone for the kind words regarding the theming and graphic design this contest, I had a lot of fun coming up with it and I think it's probs one of the better concepts I've had, glad it could be for a Patrick contest! You did a fab job with the hosting my love <3 xWell done to Ajanaeda, first-time winner!!! Fabulous winner. Love FARC in 2nd and I'm so glad you're back on form, hoping this can start another streak of greatness. Great to see Nelionoir in the Top 3, absolutely loved that and became my far-away fave - so catchy! Well done to Jade and Pav in the Top 5 with riskier entries, Patrick at a second hit in a row at 6th and Dandy* taking a great ballad into the Top 10 (LOVED).Regarding my own position - oops!!!! Definitely wanted better than 26th considering it's in my Top 5 most played songs of the last 5/10 years or so, I wonder if it would've done better when it was originally vetoed? Definitely got some great songs to get me back up the top hopefully next month onwards so lessssssgo x

Still a gag though.

March 31Mar 31 Big congrats to Ajanaeda! 👏🥳This was a strong contest, and while I didn't vote for Twist the Knife I understand why a lot of people did. I'm very happy for you, and excited to see what's in store for the upcoming contest! ⭐I'm also super stoked about reaching 7th place! New record, huzzah! 🤩Glad to see that people enjoyed the sound of Volta 🫶
March 31Mar 31 yay great news to be top 10 in such a strong contest!tyvm KlumRep x Aeroche for the show, very pleasing to see the host nation also place top 10 too - 'Anywhere' was a big fave for me since its release and narrowly missed out on being a Danævii entry itself. I did prefer 'Trust' as an entry although 'Twist the Knife' was only a few spots out from my votes anyway, congrats on a belated first time victory both her and Ajanaeda! FARC, Jadakissnia, Elëdan, Macromia are my other big takeaways of this contest's top 10 - FARC a fairly obvious hit and pleasing to see them close to victory at least, and the other three yay for them exceeding expectations.can't win them all though, poor Dobago and Zanmatony were never going to be in contention but surprised Jupiterdonia couldn't go top 20 :( John Summit will get his big BJSC hit eventually surely.

I also remember that entry leading the final scoreboard after the first batch of votes courtesy of two 18s, clearly a misleading indication of how things would end. Looking back I see that it only got 20 more points in the final than its semi despite twice the number of potential voters and more points to dish out. That might be the biggest ever example of 'right semi syndrome' then since it would have DNQ'd in the other semi.
April 1Apr 1 Already found a new sawng the very evening of the results, slayage confirmed (means I’m DNQing probably oops). Back to Germany this month. 💃🏼
April 2Apr 2 Think I'm set on my next track. I was planning to send a sweet folk song (actually have been debating to send it for months) but chances of it qualifying are next to none I think. So changing to a different direction
April 2Apr 2 Elëdan flying to Ajanaeda in business class as extra budget was given to BJSC this month due to the recent success of Ohota 👠

April 2Apr 2 One of my favourite things about hosting is doing the excel 😅 I have an unhealthy fixation with pretty numbers
