May 1May 1 Oooooooooh so thrilled for the winner. That might be the first time my 18 pointer has won! Congrats Addy. Great hosting :)
May 1May 1 Congrats Addy and wonderful hosting Josh! Look forward to going back to Botanikkä next month! Thanks for voting for Baleghde to all 25 of you who did (+ what felt like 50 commisserations lmao INCLUDING @Brer TO MY PLEASANT SURPRISE!! which is honestly almost as rewarding as winning (probably - i wouldnt know)) I hope there's at least one person who appreciated the little easter egg I threw into my voting speech regarding the location of this rebranded country of mine.Although I didn't reach a new peak, reach the top 10, or get a new placement, I at least had the highest placing song with no 18s which is something it was exciting seeing me race up the ranks in the second half after spending the first few batches worrying I'd wind up with less than 50 points lmao.
May 1May 1 Thank you for hosting Josh!! <3 excellent all the way through and appreciate the effort to get it all done at a reasonable time lol.Very happy for Debbii Dawson to have won, have really liked everything she has put out so far! I did think this would likely be my 18 when I saw it in the semi thread but Aelandor and Pestolia were just so so good that they rose above it! Also would've been very happy if Debby Friday had won too, really strong stand out track! The whole top five is excellent <3Also grateful for Deepest performing so well and coming 8th! It's a proper ridiculous campy but cool moment that I wanted to send as soon as I heard it, even if it skirts the veto a bit. I have been obsessed with impersonating Tilda doing the big fish, little fish, cardboard box bit. I like to imagine this is her ordering at the chippy x Thank you Aeroche and Kylienips for your 18 points this month.Excited to be back in Botanikka! They must be one of our biggest winners/most successful countries ever now!

May 1May 1 Oh crap, didn’t realise my votes were f***ed up. Palmyra was my 3-pointer, I just copied it without it from my notes Proof with (CET, I wasn’t late xx) timestamp :D
May 1May 1 Omg the dramz xI'm trying to rack my BJSC historian brain to think if anyone has ever corrected votes after results already finished and I don't think they have (think it has happened during the reveal a couple of times but not after) so I'm not sure whether we correct that or not, SOS mod decision needed xx(feat. somewhat of an unfortunate conflict of interest as the corrected votes would swap myself and Hendinia (as well as Trifoski/Palmyra)...! Schrödinger's top 15 hit impakt)((fwiw I'd probably lean towards deferring to what was actually in Josh's inbox i.e. keeping the scoreboard as is but it's a bit of a grey area with the timestamp receipts oop))

May 2May 2 Well done Addy! ABBA soundalikes are a tried and tested formula in this contest and I agree with those who said it felt like Debbii would get a win one of these days.Somewhere between gutted and selfishly relieved about Debby Friday but, obviously, as my 18, I’m thrilled to see that was as much of a hit as I thought it sounded from first listen. As for my finish? Weirdly, as soon as I saw Leww’s prediction of 14th, I did actually see that being spot on. Somewhat disappointing because I do think it’s far and away my strongest entry of the year but it was such a strong contest for pop, that there was always going to be underperformances. I always manage to find a way to creep a top 15 though, even if it’s by dodgy means of Pav’s votes not being sent properly 😂This contest has really reinvigorated my love for the whole thing, it’s been so much fun, and really well hosted in its simplicity. So regardless of results, it’s still been a joy to be a part of x
May 2May 2 OH but you guys are REALLY rooting for me to not make it out the semi though, seriously!! This is like the third contest in a row where I’ve come between 15th and 20th in the semi but then turned it into a top 15 in the final!
May 2May 2 Congrats Addy!!!!Top 20 for Elodie is a nice showing, I’m happy with that!Huge thanks and congrats to Josh for an excellent first time hosting! Was a flawless rendition
May 2May 2 So did Addy actually win after Elëdan's revision? I noticed more points for Nelionoir which may change things given it was a close finish.

May 2May 2 Not the Debbii and Debby finale Thank you to everyone who voted for Debby this month — it really is my favourite entry in months, and one of my favourites of the year. So euphoric. Going from not qualifying with her as my first-ever entry to second place was beyond my expectations — happy to see it connect with people. I mentioned this in the other thread, but life has been lifing lately, and having this little community has brought such unanticipated levity. I don't think I've ever been more invested in theorising and predicting things — it's been a hoot 🖤I would have loved to see a win for Scotland 2, I felt that win in my bones! So many gems in the top ten, although Jadu Heart, Blue Hawaii, and Litku Klemetti are criminally lowCongrats to Addy and Josh for smashing the hosting (I'm glad I actually managed to help with spreadsheets for the first time in my life!)10 hours ago, dandy* said:I just had a complete panic as I think Debby Friday was my 10 in the semi and I had the nightmare of not voting and costing something a win... but I've just listened to Addy's track and I liked it a lot so I'm pretty certain I'd have voted for it too - phew!Ha, I'm less concerned about the results and more worried that there won’t be a Fljótavík entry next month
May 2May 2 Debby releasing this new single is a fitting end to the Debbii and Debby festivities this month
May 2May 2 Congratulations Addy! 5 weeks at #1 in my personal chart for 'You Killed The Music' meant a surefire 18 from me! I voted for both the double-Debb top 2, although 6 for Debby means mine was a decisive vote, always a bit of an argh moment when that happens as '1/17' would have made a fine winner too, but fab to see it so well supported anyway!Delighted with my own result for several reasons - my first finish in 5th in any song contest on Buzzjack, a fourth BJSC top 10 soon after the third, and they've covered each of 2nd to 5th! A first non-EDM top 10 too, and 31 voters is second only to the 35 for ACRAZE (in finishing 4th) - fantastic to see votes coming in from all directions! I know MØ is a well-known name, but I thought this era of hers had gone a little under the radar, and as one who hasn't sent many pop songs here before, this was too good to pass up giving a try! Thank you to all voters, especially Jake and Leww for the silvers and Joop for the gold! 18 voters in the semi without any 10s or 12s might be some kind of record too perhaps Following the results from a ship in the North Sea (and perhaps a little too closely for that) meant I could only silently emoji along, but this was one of the most enjoyable finals I've been in, and a superbly hosted one too - thank you so much Josh!

A worthy choice of winner in the end with Botanikka, and big up Scotland 2 bringing themselves towards the top end of the scoreboard again. Glad to see Greenfroze's spellbinding entry achieve an impressive score too <3
May 2May 2 Now that I’m fully rested, once again I just want to thank everyone <3 I will host next edition, even though my schedule is a mess but I’ll make it work. I am blanking to come up with something fresh theme wise, because of time constraints etc. etc. so most probably will just recycle my theme (sorry, I know it’s overdone) but those boarding passes are ready to be printed
