With Christmas little under a month away we will be wrapping the final contest of the year up before the turkey hits the table. Will you do a complete 180 and send something crackers? Or will you stay in your lane and aim for a huge hit to maximise your end of year placing. The fight for No.1 is still very much on for a handful of countries, not least Neliönoir and Danæviia. Who will have the final winner of the year? Can you find something worth over 180 points, or even double that? Will the 10 other nations looking for the full calendar year of qualification achieve their dream (we got the early Christmas present last night with the AQ <3) or fall at the final hurdle?

Confirmations will open on Friday (21st November), so get ready for that. Semi finals will be up on 28th or 29th of November, Semi results on the 6th or 7th of December and final results on 13th or 14th of December, tbc but more to come later in the week. Until then...discuss!

Honestly, Dan deserves it. His consistency (essentially top ten every month!) has been incredible. I got lucky in the middle of the year, but outside of that, it has been Nelly business as usual. I much prefer being an underdog!

I think in honour of this return that Rd‘Á will take inspiration from an earlier visit to the former Scandinavian republic for our entry this month

Ha, yes, you could say we've been raring to go for a while.

Although the haste is moreso because the week before Christmas is a bit of a write off for me in terms of free time, so hoping the contest will be finished by this time next month, unless work throw me any curveballs!

I need to carefully think about how to use the AQ and not completely fade into the background like two months ago, because it's been a very long time since we had a guaranteed one. Hmmm...

I have an entry. I love my entry. It would be, yet again, a first time entrant. I am not prepared to get excited about it because 9 people will wind up wanting it in a few days time.

Excited for a return to FSR Rontvia! Currently do not know at all what to send but feel like we need a switch in gear as it’s been a few diminishing results in the second half of the year vs. the first! Would be great to qualify again as that would be the first time I’ve made it through a whole calendar year I believe.

Per my post in the final thread I still just have the one potential at the moment which is the techno instrumental I originally confirmed for 178, I think I'll look for something else but got that as a fallback if nothing else takes my fancy. Want to aim to be at least somewhat competitive to stay in with a chance of returning to the EOY top 20...

mine is very Jadakissnia meets Persephonia and Hushkanukia with a sprinkling of Rontvia and a giant smattering of Kathaldazia mixed with Elëdan, Aeroche and N DNTN and of course a whole lot of Kluminican Republic and Neliönoir and sounds like the whopper of a banger you might hear from the lovechild of Hendinia and Bøtanikkä if Cheiron put an East Rukahavian entry in a blender with Sovarasma and Herbilore
