I must be missing a reason why we’d be considering bbno$ as a veto on this website, perhaps outside of Edamame. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him mentioned on Buzzjack, nor does he have any hits for years 😂

Or Tommy Cash.

Gosh, I'd really wanted to send Daniel Avery but decided not to as there's been a bit of a following for him on here...had I known it would make it through the veto, I might have tried it! (Greasy off the Racing Track was my preferred track) anyway, I finally got round to the album and this was great so good to see that here, and always nice to see a former Terra Avium artist Steven Wilson here as well even though I don't know this one, looking like a good semi for my tastes on first glance x

SF2 looking strong at first glance, I knew ‘Alchemy’ would make an appearance. It’s on all the BJSC putty playlists — just noticed Absolutely in SF1 too

Well doesn’t that just sound like a Hendinia entry

Btw, I think my video might need a strobe warning, it's a bit jumpy in a lot of ways x

Ok thanks will add. Likewise if any others feel the same please shout.

This is definitely one of the biggest Semi’s since I joined which makes me a bit nervous!

I went for the “180” theme a little bit as Mothertopia have never sent a rap song before. Don’t think they typically do well but with such a varied range in the semis maybe it can find an audience!

I was going to go for f5ve - I Choose You originally but then I saw that they finished 2nd fairly recently so decided against it... lol

And the song was sent by me last time, too! Now let’s all make up for my incredible loss and make f5ve win this time around!!!

I’m feeling… cautiously optimistic?

idk I just hope people haven’t already made up their minds if they’re listening by running order 😭

Participating here and on Popjustice is confusing - songs that would be an auto-veto there, often pass here; and song that get vetoed here, appear there in one of the various contests. 🧐

Anyway - seeing Spark in this list is a nice surprise!

3quency and F5ve both girlbands with number replace names! Wonder how many other girlband or other band names like this there were are - there was a boyband called 2wo Third3 in the 90s!

One of my all-time favourite artists in this edition. 😄 Tori Amos has been with me since I was a teenager, although 'Spark' wouldn't necessarily be among my absolute favourites of hers. I also know the Saltillo track from when I used to listen to that album! I've kinda forgotten about it but it was a good album.

About my entry's title: 'öö' means 'night' in Estonian. They just added an extra Ö coz why not. Can never have too many Ö's. And the song is pronounced kinda like 'eugh' if that makes sense. It's not pronounced 'ooh'.

I'm kinda gobsmacked to learn that bbno$ has basically only managed to chart two of his songs. I don't follow charts much anymore so based on just his social media presence I would have thought he'd have at least had some low top 100 hits

Anyhoo - looks like random.org has been fairly kind to me again I think, seeing a good amount of people who I hope might be the target audience for this kind of thing so fingers crossed to round the year out with 9/10 qualifiers (I did 8/10 both of the last two years).

We also look to have ended up with quite imbalanced semi-final lengths by random chance again as well - this time there aren't any excessively long entries but based on Spotify semi 2 is still ~18 minutes longer than semi 1. Semi 1 has no songs over 5 minutes long but semi 2 has 3 songs that are over 7 minutes and another over 6 minutes! Aside, when I was checking during the confirmation period the Sukatani song was not available on Spotify (at least in the UK) but I see it's there now so must have just been a temporary issue, good timing for it to be back! I do remember them via the Fantano video Cow posted in his national thread regarding another song of theirs that they had to take down due to political pressure so I wondered if that might have been the case with this song too...

I think there are more songs in this that I've already heard than there have been in most recent contests - Utopia's entry is a little on the cheeky side (that was the one I was kind of expecting to attract some 'controversy', not bbno$ lol - I really wouldn't have thought he's that relevant to BuzzJack demographics outside of his 2 hits) but it is excellent as Daniel Avery tends to be so happy for more people to hear it, I also remember really enjoying the Trifoski entry when seven sent it on PopJustice a while back.

YouTube playlists now added to the first post, and I've put a strobe warning on Aesthetica too FYI.

Well, I just listened to your entry and I think it's pretty cool!🥳

yeah I'm surprised Daniel Avery was let in (especially as the featured artist in essence had a UK #1 album even more recently than the vetoed Renee Rapp)

I had his other one with Cecile Believe on my potentials list last contest but thought that'd have been a tad too cheap too
