The way Fontana would/could have had 4 wins with the old top 2 format (Talent, Ball, standup, makeover)!!

She deserved to win almost as much as Kate and Gawdland for me, obv I was gonna be gutted if not for Gawdland but from The minute we had the cast Fontana was who I was most excited for based on her first run, and that little overzealous diva was a huge part of what made this season for me. Either way I’ve been so happy to see two queens I loved from lesser watched seasons become fan faves and really shape a season.

A very mixed feelings finale!

• Kate did not win that lipsync against Fontana

• Gawdland didn't win any lipsyncs in that episode

• But Gawdland was the correct winner in the end all things considered but could've been Fontana or Naomy

• Serena Morena continues to mother the girls x

Serena talking about "red lips, a big kiss" on the runway made me crease, easily one of the funniest queens ever x

I know I’ve been hyper-critical of Kate this season, but was she even trying in those lip syncs lmao? Against Gawdland particularly, that was bad… I’ll keep the memories of UK5 Kate 🙏

Overall such a strong, memorable season though, one of the strongest casts in forever that actually felt like a celebration of the ‘vs the World’ part this time too.

I… agreed with every single lip sync winner decision actually. Neither of Gawdland or Mariah knew the words to Broken Heels, but Gawdland was at least giving it the energy which Mariah sadly lacked.

Kate definitely beat Fontana. The latter had the facial expressions but I was distracted by how much she was clinging onto her wig for dear life and it didn’t feel as controlled as Kate, whose comedy really worked for this song.

I agree with Calum about the final lip sync though, Kate just kinda limped around like a mum at a wedding. Part of me feels like she didn’t want to win because of the backlash she knew she’d get? Undoubtedly, this result is the best result for everyone involved, Kate included.

Fontana is my winner of the series personally, she’s such a drama queen but I don’t think she knows how funny that is, in an almost Alyssa S5 kinda way. Gawdland is adorable and fun but a bit one note for me and I think she’s lucky it’s an 8 episode season because hooting and hollering through many more episodes would’ve definitely got tired. As it was, she was a big personality for a perfectly succinct package of time and will be a fondly remembered winner.

For Kate vs Fontana, for me it wasn't that Kate won as much as Fontana lost

To be honest, I think Kate has the same problem Jimbo had, she wears the wrong shoes to lipsync in. She's actually not a terrible dancer but she could do with taking some classes in choreo or how to structure a dance performance because in both of these lipsyncs she came off as just throwing everything at the wall one move after the other. How she dances also doesn't suit her drag persona. If she'd come out in a more grand dame style princess dress and performed the same way it would've been much more comedic than going halfway there with a dance outfit and 5 inch stiletto pleasers and then giving comedy in it.

Gawdland smoked Mariah in the first half but Mariah left it too late to pull it back, although she was definitely gaining. This season will have been good for her bookings overall tbh, and hopefully more US queens that might struggle on a regular AS might give vs the World a shot now because it can be their moment in the sun.

Thrilled that Gawdland won, I just didn't think Kate was well-realized enough to deserve it, nor did I even really feel like she wanted it, whereas this prize for Gawdland will be actually lifechanging in Thailand given the exchange rate!

Yay!! Super happy with Gawdland getting the win, totally deserved. She has just that bit more versatility and general energy than Kate does, although if T** K*** can win then it’s annoying that she couldn’t as well if a good UK queen was to be crowned. This will however help queens from other franchises see the point of taking part if it’s not going to be biased to UK queens every time.

So happy to see Gawdland winning! As much as I'm a fan of Kate, I'm relieved that we finally have an ESL winner on a vs. the World season. Hopefully, this allows more ESL queens to want to be judged by RuPaul.

Fontana definitely won that lip sync but Kate would never have been axed before the top 2 so I’m not mad. Gawdland’s confidence visibly changed towards the end of that final lip sync and it was very nice to see.

As a Kate Butch fan I also woulda been happy if she had won but what a fantastic season, UkVSW imo helds up well with each season

We definitely wouldn’t have had Blu here, and I’d hazard a guess it’d be Pangina instead. Don’t think it’d have changed the top 4 of Series 2 so they’d probably still have chosen Tia Kofi, though I imagine in a “one winner” scenario, she’d have won much less.

Might have to get my “what if” hat on for nobody’s pleasure but my own x

In my judging (pre la chipiti) I ended up eliminating Baga instead of Lemon first so she won Snatch Game’s top 2 and sent Janey home, so Pangina won in the end. Janey is a decent lipsyncer but Pangina would have handily beat anyone that season in basically any lipsync so if a lipsync is all that’s standing between her and the crown she’s getting it no question. Marina also won S2 for me bc I’m sorry whilst Hannah did great in their lipsync they clearly edited it in her favour lmfao.

It’s crazy that UKvTW being a mess ended up leading to Jimbo and Lemon’s wins, I don’t think CanadavTW necessarily would have been gagging so badly for Lemon to win without the porkchop to winner storyline.

I know this seems completely wild, as we know Jimbo is awful at lip syncing but if there's any song she could pull up a shtick to, it's Vengaboys and I think they'd have desperately wanted to keep Jimbo after 2 wins / Ru being obsessed with her / drama at not being saved etc. Monique also didn't seem to turn up to any lip syncs this season either tbf. Here begins a Jimbo vs Pangina rivalry storyline.

I do think at this point, they'd be looking to get Lemon out though, so I think it'd be close between her & Jujubee - but they'd save the remaining American, and axe the one RuPaul hasn't warmed to in a "you're doing too much" kinda way.
