Persephonia are victorious for the first time since 2015 after stumbling across a wide-appealing potential

East Rukahavian find a groove this year and achieve two top 10s

A debuting nation will finish in the top 5 at least once

Last but not least... another fight to the death over a MUNA-esque potential ensues

Zanmatony prophesy's;

• Wins for Sovarasma, Bronzil and Terra Avium

• EOY #1 to be a winner over 500 points

• Aesthetica to become the new bridesmaid after having three runners up medals

• Returns for Conoria, St. Burbia, Oslol and Tartford

• Jadakissnia have a 100% qualification streak in 2026

• Skall does something nobody has ever done before in BJSC history

• An AI entry gets into the final and goes on to become a Top 10 hit

• Trifoski & Scotland 2 both try to confirm the same entry one month but someone else gets there first

• BJSC FM returns again in 2026 but is hosted by Silas instead

• We get another nil pointer in the year

• Kathaldazia send an entry that gets votes from over 90% of the participants

• An unexpected nation get vetoed for the first time in their history

AI entry gets banned in BJSC

Oh and Persephonia to actually approve of one of the winners this year that they actually give some points to.

Edit: Also @Brer which nations (potentially) could be reaching their anniversary entries in 2026?

Not many - Baleghde and Sandénia both have their 50th coming up just now in 181 (have received an anniversary song request from Calum but not from Jafet to my knowledge so nudge nudge to @diva thin muffin x), but then unless certain inactive nations who are close to their anniversaries come back very soon the next ones won't be until nearly the end of the year!

From countries who are currently active, Aelandor & Summericia are on 92 entries, Flynnonda 91, Taahino 90 and Ajanaeda & Pestolia 41 so they would all get anniversary entries in BJSCs 188-190 if they continue to enter every contest in the meantime.

IIRC no one bothered making the annual prediction of a Persephonia win last year so the pressure is back on this year

Can I be selfish and say Deandria gets three consecutive qualifiers for the first time ever, in fact we get four, and then DNQ.

Non-selfish predictions:

• Summericia wins

• Pestolia wins with something generally unexpected

• Jadakissnia has 100% Qs, I agree with that one

• Nine And 3/4 comes top 20 with debut entry

• There is at least one truly shocking and earth-shattering DNQ in nearly every contest (too easy?)

Skall will stay in the EOY top 10.

Elëdan will get one of 4th or 6th place finishes.

Séyetana will score a top 5.

Kluminican Republic and Aeroche will have swapped over 100 points, again.

Cor Lupus will complain every single contest about not qualifying but will score 5 top 10s including two medals and continue their qualification streak.

There will not be a tiebreak at the top.

• An entry with either zero or just one win prediction goes on to win, surprising everyone

• Obvious pop songs still win, but take a beating, with fewer top-ten finishes overall

• AI is banned after winning, with Persephonia finishing runner-up. The thread descends into chaos. Elëdan remains iconic and leads the charge against AI entries

• Taahino enters something Marina-esque within the first three months

• FSR Rontvia send an underrated spoken-word track that receives multiple 18 points but is snubbed by the pop bloc

• Dobago and Kathaldazia both try to send the same song twice, one of them DNQs

• A pop nation and an alt nation both try to send the same song, it wins

• Bronzil and Pestolia become the new tastemaker IT girls

• Zanmatony reminisces about the good old days and tries to lure a few nations back

• Hinterlandia return for one month, gets a hit, and then disappears back into the forest

• Jupiterdonia drops personal lore during a listenthrough

• More nations start taking part in the listenthroughs

• BJSC participation increases for a few months, before dropping back down to its lowest point mid-year

• Skall start sending more unhinged entries than both Scotland 2 and Trifoski

• Inspired by Rob, one host creates a radio show and presents their contest

• A winning nation decides not to host, Sovarasma does instead

• République d’Áskorza lose it after being placed in every semi-final with a 20+ minute entry, including one featuring some form of animal sound

• Ajanaeda continue to be bullied by random.org and are repeatedly placed in alt-heavy semi-finals

This isn't a new spin-off, but I have always wanted to take part in the duo contest. I love the idea of working with someone else

I also really liked the 180 idea, but a genuine one. I am desperate for the New Lexico seven-minute melody-free vocals over a repetitive, unchanging dance beat entry
