Posted January 1Jan 1 New year, new predictions. What remarkable things will happen this year across the Buzzverse?
January 1Jan 1 Debut wins for Bronzil, Cumulonimbia and POPHubAeroche return to EOY #1 gloryHendinia keep their Q streak going for another yearPersephonia are victorious for the first time since 2015 after stumbling across a wide-appealing potentialEast Rukahavian find a groove this year and achieve two top 10sA debuting nation will finish in the top 5 at least onceLast but not least... another fight to the death over a MUNA-esque potential ensues
January 2Jan 2 Author Zanmatony prophesy's;Wins for Sovarasma, Bronzil and Terra AviumEOY #1 to be a winner over 500 pointsAesthetica to become the new bridesmaid after having three runners up medalsReturns for Conoria, St. Burbia, Oslol and TartfordJadakissnia have a 100% qualification streak in 2026Skall does something nobody has ever done before in BJSC historyAn AI entry gets into the final and goes on to become a Top 10 hitTrifoski & Scotland 2 both try to confirm the same entry one month but someone else gets there first BJSC FM returns again in 2026 but is hosted by Silas instead We get another nil pointer in the yearKathaldazia send an entry that gets votes from over 90% of the participants An unexpected nation get vetoed for the first time in their history
January 2Jan 2 Author Oh and Persephonia to actually approve of one of the winners this year that they actually give some points to.Edit: Also @Brer which nations (potentially) could be reaching their anniversary entries in 2026?
January 2Jan 2 Not many - Baleghde and Sandénia both have their 50th coming up just now in 181 (have received an anniversary song request from Calum but not from Jafet to my knowledge so nudge nudge to @diva thin muffin x), but then unless certain inactive nations who are close to their anniversaries come back very soon the next ones won't be until nearly the end of the year! From countries who are currently active, Aelandor & Summericia are on 92 entries, Flynnonda 91, Taahino 90 and Ajanaeda & Pestolia 41 so they would all get anniversary entries in BJSCs 188-190 if they continue to enter every contest in the meantime.IIRC no one bothered making the annual prediction of a Persephonia win last year so the pressure is back on this year (I might try and make some predictions xo)
January 2Jan 2 Also predicting a Persephonia win in 2026.Sovarasma, Jadakissnia, Aeroche and POPhub will get wins too.Dobago have a couple of top 3's.A debuting nation will go top 10 on their first attempt

January 2Jan 2 Non-selfish predictions:Summericia winsPestolia wins with something generally unexpectedJadakissnia has 100% Qs, I agree with that oneNine And 3/4 comes top 20 with debut entryThere is at least one truly shocking and earth-shattering DNQ in nearly every contest (too easy?)
January 2Jan 2 Skall will stay in the EOY top 10.Elëdan will get one of 4th or 6th place finishes.Séyetana will score a top 5.Kluminican Republic and Aeroche will have swapped over 100 points, again.Cor Lupus will complain every single contest about not qualifying but will score 5 top 10s including two medals and continue their qualification streak. There will not be a tiebreak at the top.
January 2Jan 2 Hendinia grow tired of simply qualifying year after year and win at least twiceThe EOY is highly contested, with Fljótavík, Cor Lupus, Hendinia, Bøtanikkä, Jadakissnia, and Pestolia all in contention. FARC forgets to vote once, taking themselves out of the runningDanæviia extend their top-20 streak for another year, with Aeroche joining them. Both finish in the EOY Top 10Bøtanikkä send smash after smashA new nation is an immediate hit, exceeds all expectations, and quickly becomes part of the BJSC furnitureSarah Kinsley makes a contested return and wins. Drama ensues: Brer calls the song overrated and shares stats on how often he doesn’t vote for the winner50% of winners are by artists with previous hitsAn entry with either zero or just one win prediction goes on to win, surprising everyoneObvious pop songs still win, but take a beating, with fewer top-ten finishes overallAI is banned after winning, with Persephonia finishing runner-up. January 2Jan 2 There is at least one new spin-off idea that materializes. It ends up being very funAt least one question doesn't receive an answer within the first three days of being askedBrer corrects the final scoreboard in at least two contests (not sure how common this is tbf)Dalisska gets a top 20 in the first half of the year

January 2Jan 2 Just now, matto said:There is at least one new spin-off idea that materializes. It ends up being very funThis isn't a new spin-off, but I have always wanted to take part in the duo contest. I love the idea of working with someone else I also really liked the 180 idea, but a genuine one. I am desperate for the New Lexico seven-minute melody-free vocals over a repetitive, unchanging dance beat entry

Plus I wouldn't want to get into more trouble doing that. Maybe someone actually needs to try harder to lure Zanmatony back...Also @uhsting to take over the BJSC Wiki page and add in more pages for all the lore of 2026.
